Live Action Robotech Movie!
With the success of Transformers it looks like they're gonna give Robotech the same treatment!
http://movies.ign.com/articles/818/818558p1.html Just hope we get to see some hot Zentraedi giantesses!

Robotech itself is a weird fusion of two other series. I prefer the real Super Dimensional Fortress Macross series myself (SDFM is one of the two series that Robotech came from).

It was three series actually, but most people who say "Robotech" are thinking of only Space Fortress Macross.
How does Transformers have any connection to this? If you even watch for 5 minutes you'll see the series couldn't be any more different. (Never liked transformers.) |

The success of the Transformers movie is what he's talking about, and people are scrambling to secure other 80's properities to convert into live action it seems.

Hollywood's all about jumpin on the bandwagon.
Transformers made a ton of money and is an 80's property about giant robots. Robotech is an 80's property about giant robots. It's a no-brainer for them. Just like comic movies were big after the success of spiderman, now its 80s cartoons. There are Thundercats, GI Joe and He-Man movies coming.

Don't forget, FOX has started production of the DBZ movie. I have no idea how that COULD work.

At least they tempted at a guy exploding. Basically they adapted from an incorrect dub of a movie that messed around with the story.
Fact: The guy who played Kenshiro in the movie called his son Ken. |

Intrestingly enough, a couple of the japanese designers of the 3 series commented how much more they liked the smashed together Robotech epic, and how it played over like 30 years of history in a coherient storyline. |
