It's alright. That's exactly what should be done, but unfortunately I, much like a lot of other people, still live with my folks...and as much as they agree with me that a faster connection would be nice, neither of them is in much of a rush to actually get the thing.

Sloth, unfortunately, appears to be the sin of my household.

Use economics. Nowadays, a low end broadband connection costs effectively the same as a dial up. Add in time savings and productivity boosts, and it's considerably less. Add in real life materials savings such as stamps for bill payments which are rendered obsolete by online payments, and it's beyond well worth it.
