Oh And i don't think this can be said enough, My friend was banned for life for posting too many exclamation points at the end of her sentences. Proper punctuation must be used at all times or no pron for you.

By my own experience, being somewhat strict is not a bad thing as far as you have been told before. There were rules for all forums. I mean, how many people read the forum rules BEFORE posting something? It happens everywhere.
What sometimes happens is that you make a small mistake, but then you pay for your mistakes and the mistakes done by others before (that is, the owner, in this case Blar, becomes fed up of people not respecting the rules).
How was my experience with DC++? Nice, I must say. it was some kind of "exploring", and even found nice people there. My only complaint was that there was very few material about TF, being just a GTS place. But as it is said, beggars cannot be choosers.

Oh bull. If someone's being a dick, they deserve to be called out on it, regardless of whatever else they may do for the community (oh Lordy Lordy, there's that word he hates ever so much!) Otherwise, you get admins that think that it's okay to disrespect contributors; and, likewise, you get contributors who simply stop contributing because they know the admins will just claim "uploader's first rights," which is a load of crap and not protected by any laws ANYWHERE.

"Beggars can't be choosers" makes a mockery of absolutely anyone who pays only to be reamed for daring to have an opinion contrary to the site owner's own.

That being said, I should at least thank Lorekeep that I don't score a ban every time I disagree with him; many a site owner has some sort of conceit that only their opinion matters, and if Lore has that, he sure hasn't acted on it very much.

No. That has been caught out of context, because it was referred to the fact that there was not werewolf/monster/etc-TF related material, which is what I really prefer the most (well, I also like GTS ). I really don't have a good or bad opinion about Blar himself, just because I didn't have any relation to him through the years I've spent there.

I guess that whole mindset bothers me, to the point where I see "beggars can't be choosers" and reply "ARGH NO STFU AND GTFO" out of habit. It's really a shitty attitude for people to have about people who don't qualify as beggars (that is to say, people who contribute to the cause).
