Wich species for a tf calander?

Hi there!

I'm not sure if you guies know it, but I'm a professionnal 3D artist. (Yes, I'm working in movies fx and all...). One of the ardest thing to do in 3D is an animated transformation. this is why I never tried to make 3D animation of a girl turning into an animal or that kind of stuff. Anyway, because I'm principally an animator and because I would really to improve my modeling and texturing skilals, I'm planning doing a semi realistic tf calandar. Wich means I'll make twelve images of girls turning into different animals. (When I say semi-realistic, I'm talking about a character a little bit cartoony in design with a realistic rendering.

So, here is my question : wich animals would you like to see for wich month of the year? Of course, I will do some classics like a reindeer for christmas or a black cat for Halloween, but I would really to know what you would like to see. A squirrel girl, monkey, elephant, otter, just give me ideas and tell me wich month you whant them to be. I'll maybe use them in apost tf calandar too. ;-)

If you are a good character designer and would really want to see one of your cuties into this calandar, I'm open to collaborations too.

One last thing, it will be fairly along work, 'm stoll working on a year old comission (I'm working 40 hours a week, doing my master degree and practicing my 3D skills), so keep in mind I will take a lotof time for doing it!

Re: Wich species for a tf calander?

A bald eagle for July since July 4th is Independence Day for us Americans.

A dog for August since the 'dog days of summer' occur then.

A lioness, or, a sheep for April (both would be best for the saying about the month's weather beginning like lamb and ending like a lion/beginning like a lion and ending like a lamb).

A Chinese dragon for February for when the Chinese New Year begins/ends (though the next Year of the Dragon isn't until 2024, I think)

A rabbit for April as another option since Easter is during April.

A turkey for November for America's Thanksgiving Day.

That's all I can think of right now.

Re: Wich species for a tf calander?

Just adding some of my personnal favorites. ;-p

A monkey for jully or auggust.

Mouse for november

Again for november a warlus (mobember) but I'm really not sure about this one

For the marmaid, it is a good idea, but I would prefer in a pool... And Am I the only one to preferOtter to mermaid?

By the way, do't worry, I won't reject your ideas, I'm just asking your advice about those ideas! ;-)

Re: Wich species for a tf calander?

Just a little reminder : keep in mind that we're talking about a one pic TF. y month. So, the context should stay a little bit an every day life. ;-). Even if I would love to se a pig girl in a mudd pid (I'll keep the pig girl idea in mind by the way), but it is hard to find a mudd pit in every day life. Also, in a lot of country, March si still a pretty cold month. ;-)

Re: Wich species for a tf calander?

I think the key here is to hit a little bit on everyone's TF preferences, which means hitting the many different TF categories. As far as I see it, here are the main TF categories.

1) Pets (the dog and cat family, extended to wolves, tigers, and so forth)
2) Furries (non hooved mammals, foxes, otters, mice, etc)
3) Hoovers(Cows, Horses, Pigs, Deer)
4) Scalies (Snakes, Lizards, Dinosaurs)
5) Avians (Birds of all types, harpies, and so forth)
6) Buggies (Bees, Spiders, scorpions)
7) Aquatics (mermaids, sharks, octopi)
8) Mythics (demons, gargoyles, gryphons, gorgons, chimera, cerebrus, dragons etc.)
9) Weirdos (I MEAN IT AFFECTIONATELY AS I AM ONE, fans of mix and match animal parts, multiple limbs, multiple heads, conjoining, body rearranging, and so forth)
10) Taurs (Fans of the taur body, whether its the straight centaur, or a wolf taur, or humantaur or whatever)
11) Devolvers (fans of monkeys and apes, usually quite seperate from other furry likers)

Many of these can be hit twice in one subject. Like, a dragon hits the mythics and the scalies all at once. A hydra or gorgon hits weirdos, scalies, and mythics, and so forth. Either way the goal should be to hit as many categories as possible so that the calendar appears to the biggest amount of the fandom, and you can probably reliably hit the majority if you try.

This is actually a brilliant idea for organising a calendar — each month devoted to a facet of TF!
Might I suggest a 12th category? Inanimate.
