I second this. You've got growth-by-eating, a fair amount of dark humor, and giant prostitutes. It's also pretty well-written and witty.

I also like that the primary viewpoint is from the hapless protagonist who's really trying to do the right thing, even if everything's pretty much gone to crap long BEFORE Mae shows up.
