I bet there'll be some sort of specialized human/zerg hybrid (like Kerrigan). I just hope its not like a WC3 hero unit that gives lame 'area of affect buffs'.

And I hope they give the firebats some sort of dmg/time affect since they setting everything aflame along with the ability to set the ground aflame too (retreat strategy).
And plz keep the dark templar, they just kick ass

Apparently you didn't watch the gameplay videos with a mind toward balance. A rather large swarm went after about 8 zealots and the zealots did a pretty good job of holding their own, although I think the zerg would've finished them off with a few remaining units.

The zerg still exist as a method to overwhelm and bury an opponent. They just do it so much more creatively now.

Unless you were watching a different video than I was, there were twice as many zealots and they brought in a few of the new walking anti-swarm tanks of the Protoss to beat that zergling rush, then they all pretty much fell as soon as the remaining morphed into the baneling. You set a comparative troop of upgraded zealots and a few reavers (for the tank units) against a swarm of zerglings in the original Brood War and the results wouldn't be so much different.

Not to mention that they said nothing in the video is final and that they have a lot of balancing work to do, so it's really too early to tell how the tried and true Zerg strategy would work in the new game.

From the looks of the artwork, the zerg have evolved. There is a concept art for the Hydralisk, and it now has multiple scythes, and is way meaner looking.

Something tells me the Zerg will be more of a threat than before.

I want to see what they are doing to my favorite unit..the Goliath. That thing was a monster in the first game. A group of Goliaths could destroy almost anything on the ground AND the air.

Still, if my comp can handle it, I'm definatly gonna get Starcraft 2.
Wonder if it'll have that semi-RPGish feel to it like Warcraft 3... if it does, then I will NOT be surprised if a "Universe of Starcraft" Came out 4 years later, honestly.

The immortals upset me a little bit.

I like what they can do, i like the fact that if you attack them with heavy attacks they ARE immortal, but i miss the OLD dragoons. These guys are a replacement for those.

I'm hoping that they'll have the old unit's as some sort of 'hero' unit. They'll be available, but not creatable, like the Dark Templar before Brood Wars. So they can show the transition from old Protoss (Terran and Zerg) weaponry into the new stuff.

I want them to hurry up and get the Terran units out. Screw the Zerg and their easily-stomped rush. A few bunkers and some firebats with medic support will stop a rush with ease. And don't even bother trying once I get my siege tanks.

I really want to see the new goliath, firebat, and ghost. Those were my favorite units.(and of course the battlecruiser, who doesn't love the battlecruiser?)

The only wish I have is for Blizzard to NOT make it a WC3 game. What I simply mean is the crap about heroes. It works in the Warcraft universe - but it will not with SC2. There's nothing more annoying than bad balanced heroes.

And then our guardians will blow through those weak defenses and decimate the interior of your base before you can think about getting the replacements. In the game, every race can do significant damage to all the others, it just depends on how they're played.

Its has already been stated that the game will not feature heroes. The same key players like lasttime, but not in multiplayer. The guy said it was going to be about big, fast battles. 300+ units and such.

That is what was told so far.
