This was an amazing read, simply remarkable story, and I can not wait to find out what happens with Robin and Marion. The sequel wouldn't even have to have a tg element in it, I'm hooked to the characters, I go in expecting another brilliant tg by you as with your other works, and come out finding characters on par with many fantasy series, there's just things that you fall in love with. If your ar glancing through this thread, this is certainly a must read.

Only thing I can think of is that Sven got some of Robin's blood in his system and the hunters for whatever reason don't out and out kill him or he escapes and attempts to hunt them down after his witchification heals him. But that's probably wrong.

Oh and if I could draw I would make something for you...But I don't think you'd like stick figures or vague shapes.

That's perfectly fine, I don't expect people to. The changes as I noted are relatively minor and mostly in the area of increasing the accessibility to those who were having issues with the preponderance of overlong paragraphs in the original and were turned off.

I'm pointing out the new version not as a 'hey please read this again' move ala George Lucas but more as simply a notice that part 2 is coming and that I've updated the baseline version of part 1.

Just reading this for the first time- fantastic story! The writing quality is excellent, the characters are intriguing, and the villains have credible and thought-provoking motivations. I'd be interested to hear more about the Hunters- I can't help but imagine that some of them might feel a great deal of moral conflict when dealing with Class I Witches.

I'm not surprised, as the Highlander series was a very definite inspiration for this story and I had a number of its elements in mind when I was writing. I even went so far as to promote the connection by deliberately including the theme song from Highlander.

After much internal thought I've pretty much decided to go all in on this series even if its going to be a bear to finish. Looking at the current plot map I'm thinking I should be able to get everything done in three more stories.

The next one up, "Of Men and Monsters," will see Robin and Marion continue to evolve in their relationship, Robin's training, their efforts to avoid descending into the maelstrom of Witch politics, and a decision which threatens to blow their world apart.

Work on that piece is continuing, but I will actually have a standalone piece on a completely different subject out first. Probably in the next week or so.
