You know, I beginning to see why that artist you commissioned grew upset with you. I gave you the benefit of the doubt on that one, but given your unwarranted, and quite frankly, puzzling hostility in this thread, perhaps I was mistaken...

Seriously you guys... wishing, and hoping, and praying, and trying to be "positive" compared to us being "negative" is not going to make anything happen. Bugging the director or producer or writer or anyone involved in the project is not going to make it happen. For this thing to have been green-lit all the details were already worked out, and you can bet your asses the pitch did not involve making the main character a woman and having her rip off her clothes, drop to all fours while sweating profusely, and transform on screen with the same detail as the original movie. Any version of a script with that in it would be in the trash. It's not the 80s anymore, that stuff just doesn't fly these days, and we will never see it's like again. That's reality, the rest of us chose to accept it, that's the difference between us.

Sorry, but you don't get to dictate what is or isn't "reality," unless God visited you in your bedroom and officially bestowed you with the title of Supreme Omnidimensional Overlord. Grow up.

You're correct about the '80's being long gone, but you're incorrect about the aesthetics of the '80's never making a comeback. Personally, I always keep my window open a crack to let the sunshine in, as opposed to locking everything up so tight I become a sneering, miserable hermit.

I'm not delusional. I fully expect the AWiL remake to suck, but I'm hoping for the best as well. THAT'S the real difference between us; you allow your cynicism to hijack every corner of your brain, while others find ways to tamper practicality with optimism.

Nope, not cynical, just being real. It's not sunshine and buttercups out there, and hoping for good things doesn't make them happen. There's never, ever, going to be a female version of AWIL, ever..... ever. Always hoping for that to happen means you will always be disappointed. I've been watching people think that movie or at least that scene is going to happen for decades. The original was over 30 years ago.. the sequel was shit.. the safe bet is that there's not going to be a female werewolf in the remake. You'd have better luck finding BigFoot having a tea party with the Lock Ness Monster on a alien spacecraft in the fucking Bermuda Triangle on the 35th of Febtober.

Never going to happen, no matter how much you try to drive your point about how other people are just so darn pessimistic and negative. Our pessimism isn't what keeps it from happening, reality does that on it's own.

They could use some of the werewolf's puppet looks if Universal hasn't replaced them yet after HHN 2014.

This is hilarious because equating hope and disappointment is a clear vision of cynicism if I've ever seen one. It's all just baseless speculation anyway.

But cynicism is totally understandable, and disappointment kind of comes with the territory around here. While I don't think it's crazy to say that there might be a female werewolf TF in the remake, it's pretty crazy to petition the director for one-- Anahki's right to call us all "scavengers of mainstream media." I don't think anyone who says that that's a bad idea is wrong.

Guys, if after the events of this week we can't even agree on how to jerk off to werewolves, then there is simply no hope left for the world.

Didn't we already have a female werewolf in Paris?

I'm not saying that hope itself always ends in disappointment.... just hoping for this one specifically impossible thing will always leave someone disappointed. Like flapping your arms really hard is never going to allow a person to fly... so don't go jumping off your roof while doing it. Some things are possible, and some are not, this is just one of those things.

Yes, it showed us how crappy CGI would be, the value of the sequels with scripts that take no risks, and the fact that the 80's have been long gone (it was filmed in the 90's, just to remind).

Please, there is no need to have a bad attitude towards the other users here. We have different point of view, and yes, this is a forum. You have to understand that we have had different experiences regarding the TF content, and so we offer our very own point of view about what is going to happen with the movie. Male, female... even it could be cancelled.
In my case, I've been lurking the Internet since 1994, when we were sending files with FTP, chatting with Telnet and having lots of red crosses when a page with pictures was loading them very slow. I've known the first days of Doc's Lab page with those wonderful CG TF sequences, the astounding page of Werekatt with lots of TF info, the weird artwork from Gryf or Kurt, and the gtsdepot where from time to time you could find some interesting stuff. I've seen much, I've expected much, I've been decepted much... and yes, I have some hopes that something similar to AAWIL TF would happen someday. But not from the "official" sources, believe me . Would it be impossible? No, but improbable though.

Well, as a note, keep in mind that although I can be considered as "pessimist", I am waiting for the release of some movies/stuff that would be probably dissapointing, but... what the fuck. For example, there is a tiny chance to see a female to giant lizard in the upcoming movie Rampage, with Dwayne Johnson... and there won't be nudity there, or probably something "great" onscreen :P.
