I'm starting to use Story Mash to write an interactive story. It's free, but the interface is kind of worse than writing.com. But it let you edit your story before publishing them, and apparently you can ask Story Mash a share of the ad revenue on your stories.

Anyways, updated the script to 0.5.1, it should auto-update soon enough.

Nuked that alert "Please support ads" box to hell. Infact, the whole website isn't able to produce alert boxes anymore now.

I might be a developer. But I really don't have much time, so still if I would quickly slap a site together it wouldn't be any fancy looking. Think BE Addventure style nothing really graphical. But more functional.

-Accounts, need accounts to own stories and add/edit chapters.
-Stories, with each their recent additions, Tree Map of the outline.
-Chapters, any amount of choices and a WYSIWYG html editor.

Still, probably I would open source it aswell allowing more devvies to work on it concerning the time I would have for it.

Good news, those guys from atlassian are fast. I've gotten a 2000+ users community license already!

Ok, took a while to update my server and such. Installed the software and configured it a bit.

It currently is on invite only. With anonymous view access.

After we get some initial stuff going, I'll slowly expand the publicity of the site. Depending how we like this stuff initially.

The concept is like a wiki, every signed in user will be able to modify interactives, That is. If the author of the story wants that.
This software has a page versioning system on board. That means that if someone edits a chapter you can always see WHAT he changed, and even restore back to one of your earlier versions.

There is also a chat system (lower right corner to communicate with each other)

People can comment on every page.

Integration with youtube and other stuff. As displayed in example interactive.

Make polls ect...

Favoriting, Keep track of updates on your favorite stories!

Too much to put here, in short. I think this is an even richer system than what writing.com offers already.

The only annoyance is. When you make a new chapter, you will have to edit the previous chapter to link to the new one...
