Re: [Platformer] Trial of the Imps

I've posted the most recent (and possibly final) version.
I might add a better reward for finishing the game (gallery) but for now it's just some story...

Anyways, have fun.

Nice!!, thanks for posting!
The saves are compatible, which is nice. Is the fade to black between each TF frame normal? It is a little annoying, the older system was better to appreciate the stages.

An interesting game. Personally I'm neither a fan of the style (never cared for randomized enemy patterns) nor the implementation (it would be nice if the transformation was a game mechanic. Making it a punishment for failure is silly considering who the intended audience is). That said, for the kind of game you intended to make, it is pretty good.

Re: [Platformer] Trial of the Imps

Very nice; I especially love the ending.

*SPOILER*
Just in case you decide to come back to this game at some point, I just thought I'd get out there that the disembodied breast form in the Imperium's fourth level looks a bit off. If I were you, I'd make the nipple bigger and make the sides of the breast curve back in just a bit above the point where they contact the ground; right now it looks a bit more like a barely cohesive pile of fleshy goo than a breast.
*/SPOILER*

Hope you don't take any offense, just getting that opinion out there on the off chance it could be remedied.

EDIT: Oh, and maybe a way to use the level select to go into a level with fewer lives? It's a bit a pain to have to get myself beaten down numerous times on the same level to see the game over screen spiels.

I'm my own audience.
And I know I don't like intended transformations.
I'm a fan of forced, evil, dominating transformations, so this is the best way I could go about it.
Also animating each transformation would take me decades.

I know it looks off. The sad bit is that was my second attempt as well. I'll probably give it another shot at some point.

As for that edit; I'm not really sure how I'd present the option...

I can't seem to play it, my security is saying that it has a virus on it whenever I tried to do it.

Norton?
I'd assume so since most others actually give you an option to run it anyways.

I don't know what to tell you beyond disabling the anti-virus.
Norton counts any exe that it does not recognize as a virus. The fact it needs to create a file in order to save your game might be part of it as well.

But, yeah, you disable your antivirus or you don't play. Not much I can do about that.

PS: If given the option, reporting it as safe would be awesome.

Actually I have Sophos, but I suppose it's my only option for now to actually play this. But it does keep pointing out the virus.

Never heard of Sophos.

You'll just have to trust that it's not a virus because, again, there's nothing I can do to make it not say that.

(PS: I use Avast! and have never had trouble. It does give false reports, but also gives you the option to run it normally or run it in a Sandbox instead of just saying "NOPE! Can't do that.")

Re: [Platformer] Trial of the Imps

Okay I managed to play through the game again and I like about, one of the transformations you have here. But I did find some glitches in the game, like in the Jungle level when you're supposed to run faster than the imp, there's a chance he'll suddenly snap towards the first platform you have to jump to before the finish and just stops there. Another glitch that happens to one of the imps is the one in the sex toy factory, where he just doesn't do anything at all. And then I found another glitch in the very end where
I went completely behind the imp that was supposed to change me into their queen and now nothing is happening to them.
Many Imps are just decoration (City Imp and the Imp in the second underwater Wetlands stage) and are not supposed to do anything.
The race imps are prone to unrepeatable bugs that I can't find in order to squash. I did learn of a better way to do that, and will use it in the next game I make, but for this game they will remain with a small chance to bug out.

Not totally sure what that final error was. The Imp there isn't supposed to do anything. By 'them' did you mean the player character? Did it get stuck at the red or white dialog?

What I meant was that the traps in the sex doll TF of the city level never activates, causing me to just go through this part of the level completely safe.
I suppose the race imps will always give players a lucky chance to beat them then.

It got stuck on the red dialog after I rushed right passed him. I kind of hoped that there was a different ending than
becoming their queen.
