The Floating story

This story has no no blood or gore or icky stuff. It stars Ayeka from Tenchi Muyo. She is a regal princess from a royal family. While they are a space-fairing people, they maintain a very traditional Japanese style and culture. Don't worry if the story seems to start in the middle, it is meant to just get to the point.

==========================
...the retro rockets fired, and everything was hurled about as the space station's rotation slowed, and then stopped - eliminating it's crude rotational gravity. Just as everything seemed to be calming down, the air hose that Ayeka had been grasping suddenly disconnected itself from the wall, sending the teenage princess floating weightless into the air. It hadn't torn. The computer had released it for some reason.

Ayeka was forced to struggle awkwardly as her regal Jurian robes began to creep up her legs and spread in a manor most unbecoming. Her knee-length purple-black hair also seemed to take on a life of it's own. She must have looked utterly ridiculous floating around now. How unpleasant! Thank heavens no one else was around to see her like this!

Her first reaction was to try to find some kind of dignified way to hold her kimono down over her legs, but she quickly realized that even though she wasn't moving very fast, it was still more important that she manage to turn herself around to see what was on the far wall that she was floating towards. She flailed around trying to turn herself, but only succeeded after flinging the other end of the hose away. She wouldn't need it anyway - a soft gust of air from somewhere told her that the ventilation and life support were still active.

This room was strangely large for such a low tech ship. It was a cube, over 100 feet wide, and retrofitted with Jurian plant decor and function. There was nothing dangerous on the wall that Ayeka was headed towards - just some sensor vines and some boxes that had been hurled about.

Ayeka was poised to grab onto the vines and use them to pull herself back to the controls. But she was hardly moving now. Her robes were curling up again, and threatened to expose her undergarments, so she allowed herself a moment to work out a way to hold them down between her knees. This took long enough for her to realize that she had now stopped completely in the center of the room, with nothing to grab on to for 50 feet in any direction. How did this happen? On Juri, floating around weightless was a game for children. With no gravity, they would always bounce around from one wall to another, sometimes colliding with pillows or other children in mid air. Ayeka didn't recall anyone ever getting stuck in the middle. They would always drift to a wall eventually. Everything else in the room had, indeed, settled down near the walls.

But not her. There she was, totally helpless in the middle of the room. She flailed about with her arms, but this accomplished nothing, and after a minute, she gave up, feeling foolish and small. "Oh dear," she spoke aloud. She thought about calling for help, but she knew that she was alone aboard the old abandoned station, and in any case, she'd then have to explain what she had been doing there!

Time passed. She floated. More time passed. Nothing. She hung there listening to her heart beat and the soft woosh of the air vents. Her royal pride slowly waned. "h- help?" She finally whispered. Nothing. "Help!" she called louder. "Is anyone there? Please help me!" She called. Nothing but echoes. She called again, as loud as she could. But time confirmed what she already knew. She was alone here. She couldn't even rotate herself to see the wall with the status display on it. If nothing else, the data about sensor readings and minor orbit corrections would give her something to look at.

Wait. She had rotated herself at one point! When she was first flung up here. How did she do that? Ayeka thought about this carefully, trying to replay her movements in her head. It was the hose! When she'd flung it away, the effort had shifted her position. Of course! Action, and reaction! Throw something one way, and she'd move in the other direction!

The princess searched herself for something heavy to toss. She didn't normally carry much on her person, that was for servants or a warp pocket, neither of which were here now. So, she'd use her shoes. Abandoning modesty for a moment, she let her robes float as she untied her shoes and carefully removed them. She decided to continue towards the part of the wall that she had originally been floating towards. It looked a bit closer, maybe. Holding her hands out in opposite directions to avoid rotating herself any further, she flung the shoes backwards as hard as she could.

Was she moving? It was slow, but she thought she was. She had rotated a bit again. The princess's heart raced as she looked around for signs of motion. The shoes were much lighter then her, so she knew that even if it did work, it would be very slow.

Ayeka's patience grew thin as another idea of what to throw crossed her mind. "Hello!" She called out again. "Is anybody here?" This time she was just making sure. Even though she was painfully aware that she was alone here, the idea was still a total affront to her royal modesty. If anyone saw what was coming, she would never live down the humiliation. But once she reached the wall, it would only take a minute for her to crawl to the other side and get her clothes back.

Nervously, her hands shaking, Ayeka stripped herself down to her bra and panties. "Just like a swimsuit.", she kept telling herself. "There is no one here to see.", she kept telling herself. "It will only be for a minute."

She gathered everything together in a ball, even the braids from her hair. Her royal kimono and robes together weighed quite a bit more then her flimsy high heal shoes. This should work! Blushing, she flung it all away as hard as she could, and instantly could see the wall moving closer!

"Yes!" She called out. Ayeka flushed with pride at solving the puzzle. Her body tingled with excitement and anticipation. She quivered as the wall came closer and closer. Time seemed to slow as the waiting vines approached. Her heart now beat so fast that the princess thought she might stop breathing! She put a hand to her chest and took a deep breath to calm herself. This helped a bit, but it also reminded her of her state of undress, which tensed her up again. Her progress towards the wall still seemed so slow!

It was slow! She was slowing down again! The princess froze, her hand outstretched. The vines were just a foot or two away when she stopped dead yet again! Why was this happening? She swung wildly trying to force herself to stretch just a few inches.

She knew what she would have to try next, but spent several minutes hoping she could think of something else. Eventually, reluctantly, she removed her bra. She tried to lasso the vines with it, but the action now made her exposed breasts jiggle so much that she had to hold them down with her other arm to keep herself steady. She could manage to touch the vines with the extended strap, but try as she might, she couldn't loop anything. The vines were too soft, and didn't form into hook shapes.

There was one last hope. She removed her panties. She was now utterly stark naked, and floating on display for anyone who chanced by to see! She flung her undergarments back as hard as she could, and slowly started inching forward. She was within inches of the vines, when the vent in the wall suddenly shifted and turned on full blast, blowing warm air straight at her! She gasped as the air caressed her naked petrified form, as she knew what was coming next. When she reached the center of the room, the vents from the other side kicked in.

Someone laughed. A princess screamed.
