Gender Recruitment
Here's a subgenre nobody seems to notice: gender recruitment. Keep in mind this isn't like forced feminization, which mostly involves crossdressing of one sort or another (not really my "thing"). This is girls literally making girls out of boys, usually through a simple touch or kiss. The female urge to reproduce taken to a surreal extreme.
The attachment below is a decent example of gender recruitment. Is anybody else here a fan of this brand of transformation? |

Re: Gender Recruitment
I'm... not following. Isn't TG basically gender recruitment?
Gender recruitment sounds more like people are consigning to the process of being changed to another gender. Most TG fiction is forced anyways. So uh... I'm really not following. |

Re: Gender Recruitment
It's like with Sins' Bimbo series. The girls recruit more girls.

And no, TG is not "basically" gender recruitment. I'm talking about the trigger behind the transformation, not the transformation itself. The trigger could vary from a magic potion to a meteor from outer space. Also, gender recruitment does not automatically imply a transformee's wilful consent, which you seem to be suggesting. Look at the example I posted; that guy's metamorphosis wasn't exactly voluntary. Are you following now? |

Contagious TG, oh yeah, I love that stuff. I wrote an interactive story all about it after all. ^^

Re: Gender Recruitment
I think Otto you might have a bit of a problem with that definition simply because the size of the net becomes ambigous.
As has been said, a huge chunk of material could be considered "recruitment TG" under the broadest definitions. Even both of my stories could fit under it as both have women performing actions which result in the creation of more women. The involuntary/voluntary issue muddies the waters and doesn't define the term. What I would specify as "recruitment TG" is when you have a group of women creating more women for a specific group purpose. At the most simple this could be a runaway "contagious" process and then go from there. In terms of my favorites in this subgenre, Solari's Night Skies Hotel Universe is a distinct gem. |

Re: Gender Recruitment
I don't think it's a subgenre that no one notices, it's just such a common motif that people don't think of it separately from anything else.
