Quick YGO Question
Hey everyone. This forum I like, so I figured I'd ask you guys your opinion on something. In my Yu-gi-oh Deck, I put in a few new Morphtronic cards, and I just recently discovered that one of them, specifically Morphtronic Scopen, is a Tuner monster. I'd hate to have one and not use it, so I was wondering what you guys think. Should I spring for a Synchro monster, or should I just keep it there only for its effect, and disregard its Tuning abilities?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure this is in the wrong board.....

urgh! I can't believe i'm going out of my lurkiness for this. Well it does say "everything else" lol
You should put it for both its effect and tuning abilities! Provided you have a 7 stars synchro monster! One good example is being in a really tight spot and synchro summon a black rose dragon to clean the field in 1 turn! |

Re: Quick YGO Question
If anyone didn't catch it, Morphtronic cards change form depending on what mode they're in.

Re: Quick YGO Question
I mean, should I add a Synchro monster or not. That was my question. I apologize for not being entirely clear.

Re: Quick YGO Question
For Future Reference, there are dedicated Web boards that focus on this game. (For example, Pojo)
As for deck construction, it all depends if you can use it to it's fullest abilities. Scopen is a good turner to put in a deck, but it best works in a deck that focuses on Morphtronic monsters. Scopen's attack mode lets you special summon a morphtronic monster once for the turn but at the end of the turn, that special summoned monster will be destroyed. In defense mode, it is a level 4 instead level 3. Most popular combos I ever heard for it were one turn Goyo Guaradian, or one turn Black Rose Dragon to wipe the field, or one turn Dark Striker. Since you didn't list out your deck, I can't say whether it would work in your deck or not. Last edited by o2whatever; 07-07-2009 at 10:31 PM. |

Re: Quick YGO Question
It doesn't affect your deck since synchro monsters does not go in your deck but in your extra deck.
Since scopen can only special summon level 4 morphtronic monster try to find good level 7 synchro monsters and enough level 4 morphtronic monsters in your deck, it would be frustrating to have scopen but not drawing a single level 4 morphtronic monster. |
