Good call; it's from the Tom Waits line:
'Don't you know there ain't no devil, it's just God when he's drunk' As well as just loving it for being a great lyric I felt it was strangely appropriate considering these fetishes. I like being part of them and I get this strange kind of comfort out of having this bizarre pass time, but there's no arguing that having them is mind boggling illogical; I mean as living things where's the advantage of getting excited by the impossible/improbable/unthinkable, and it doesn't take a genius to see the flaws in SW and AR when considering it from a practical point of view. So though I'm not really convinced by religion, I can at least appreciate that if there is a God, he was most likely pissed when creating them. Either that or he has a strange sense of humour. |
