Some people have hits and misses in their projects, but I think I can safely say that you just get varying degrees of hits Ibh.

I would like to read a story based on this idea. I don't think the effect should be fast, however. It should, in fact, be pretty slow. clothes slowly getting loser. Pool toys getting heavier. Finally swim suits or other clothes falling off. Etc Etc.
