These later posts here and in the sub-forum in general sound much like eating the last crumbs left from past dinners...

Seriously! It's what I said in the primal transformations post. I've been active in this community for prob 17-18 years from the days of the TGA (transformation graphics archive) and that board lizard man used to troll on, to werekatt, to TF web ring, to the rise of Deviant.

Anyway, my point is that this is the biggest drought of content both Mainstream and also from TF artists i've ever seen! Its almost half way through 2016 and what have we eally got so far? 2015 was good with artists, missa, mainstream (thai tiger show) etc etc but this year is a bust!

I actually noticed this, too. The drought this year and some of the end of last year.

I'm a writer and not an artist but I get worn out and have slowed down. Part because of that and part because I can't keep writing what feels like the same thing. I have some more ideas for stories but now I have to kinda pace myself and slow down. Plus, spending the time and getting no comments or just a few is kinda rough sometimes and can definitely make people wonder if it's worth continuing.

Also, I wonder if we need some new blood to take up the reins and put out new thoughts and ideas. Because I imagine the fatigue plays a large part.

I agree, lack of enthusiasm/comments is one of the big reasons I quit. That and a decrease in time.

My content may not be nearly as good as others' on here, but whenever I post new stuff it goes unnoticed. So I go through long droughts until I want to do some stuff for my own pleasure. A few nice people usually give me a nice compliment (Ivan11422 is pretty awesome) but for people complaining about a drought, you're very picky.

Re: Female Werewolf needles in a haystack

I can't speak for all the normal outlets for Transformation, but I know that Missa as an example slowed down a lot on the subject for two main reasons: Cost, Little Returns. Transformation is the giant elephant in the room and is a difficult genre to do well enough that people will look at it and actually be in awe of what they're seeing. We're spoiled by the classics like American Werewolf and The Howling and we yearn to see those transformations remade with a female and done to almost the same standard.

And that's the problem for most of the artists like Missa or TMC. The cost to buy the props, make the props, find a make up artist and a willing model to go through the huge amount of time to get into the whole idea is very expensive and even if Missa was to get around those points, for as much as we on The Process always say they want these transformation videos, what they really mean is "We want these transformation videos...for free!." It's hard to make money on sales of clips if it only takes a few people actually buying it and spreading it around to porn sites, their friends, torrents, etc.

Ultimately it's a business, and making amazing transformation clips isn't cost effective since it's a shit ton of money, time and effort for mediocre returns. It sucks for sure, but that is the reality of it from the perspective of people that have done them. =(

Couldn't have put it better myself.

You are completely right, and I have said almost the same in other topics here, especially about Missa's case. But it is not just that. As Slayer has commented, in the "mainstream" out there there have been very little content: no tv shows, no decent TF in movies... And about Primal's, the videos are good, but for me are very sex-oriented and I understand that they are not going to go further precisely because of what you accuratedly indicated, the revenue. But personally I believe that those videos (including Missa's) were profitable. The fact is that probably the fetish-mommy videos are more profitable, have a wider target, and are cheaper to produce, so I don't blame her for not producing more TF content.
Anyway, consider all this as a worthless pray in the desert, or something like that. None of the people who could do something with this would even have a look at this forum, right? At least I wished that any of them would see some of the amazing work that is still being produced in deviantart... :P

@Rei-Lin -Last off topic point, there must be some money in it, maybe not as much as the easier fetishes though. I know myself in 2025 alone I bought most missa and most of the other Taylor made primal TFs and even a few random clips plus ebooks and patreons, I've easily spent hundreds of dollars supporting last year alone

Not sure if this has been posted before, it's the first time I've seen it.

Both are poof, but there's a girl who is supposed to be a mutant fish and a woman who is a werewolf near the end. *shrug* It's not very good, but here it is nonetheless.

Not very good is probably the understatement of the year. I think watching five minutes of that TV show killed a significant percentage of my brain cells.
