Kaiju Blue process
Like a majority of movie-going nerds, I love PACIFIC RIM. I found it entertaining as hell and a wonderful homage to a genre that most critics dismissed as fantastic effects porn. There was one aspect that I'm surprised no one has hopped onto via this forum.
Early in the flick, news clips briefly mention, and I mean like talk about for 4 seconds, a toxic effect of bloody kaiju remains on Earth's water and land called Kaiju blue. Me being the sick and deranged process forum browser immediately brainstormed an idea that takes the idea of kaiju blue and adapting it as a process comic. Say, a radical fringe scientist based in San Francisco is analyzing some kaiju specimens in the aftermath of the first kaiju attack and becomes contaminated thru [insert plot device]. Over the course of a few days, she starts changing, changing in ways that horrify, but also intrigue her inner scientist. Imagine PACIFIC RIM crossed with The Fly, another movie I adore, and count as a reason I became interested in tf/tg science fiction. Hell, another dream project of mine is an adaptation of The Fly with a woman scientist instead of Goldblum. First query: Is anyone else remotely interested in this sorta idea? Secondly, should I post this elsewhere in the forum? Sorry, I'm not used to originating or suggesting ideas, only bumping them occasionally. Last edited by 00LinK17; 01-30-2014 at 10:36 PM.
