The book "The Night of Wishes: Or the Satanarchaeolidealcohellish Notion Potion" by Michael Ende features a wicked warlock and his aunt witch that concoct a wishing punch. [SPOILERS] Any toast wished while drinking it, the OPPOSITE becomes true, and they try to create evil and misery in the world by toasting for good things. But unbeknownst to them, their pet raven and cat have tampered with the potion, cancelling the "opposite" component. So when the warlock and witch get drunkenly pissed at each other, they both wish that the other one will become good-hearted, young and beautiful forever, and it happens! Some time later they stupidly wish themselves back.
The fat cat and disease-ridden raven also get IB:d, for those it may concern. |

Found Cover Artist at ARarchive.
Mostly old2young AR and revert (slingshot), but there's a little IB in there too, and I never miss a chance to keep this thread alive!  Painter discovers that painting himself as a younger man actually makes him younger. Then does the same for his wife, and actually makes her a little extra beautiful. I swear that people in the twilight zone shows are dumber than dirt 90% of the time.
They get something amazing and instead of contemplating the implications and possibilities they instead just get petty and stupid. Here we have a guy worried about the attention other males give his now prettied up wife, and instead of trusting her and realizing that he's the one who will potentially stay younger longer, he backlashes her. A story like that has a lot of potential for exploration on how one's outward appearance can lead to a change of identity, a form of arrogance or entitlement for being pretty and a potential downfall in the form of it wearing off. They could also explore how different appearances affect how people treat them. Instead of the guy backlashing against her immediately, he could over and over enhance himself to try to keep up, and find himself being lost in the process. That could lead to him self-destructing or backlashing out of bitterness against her. This story is actually a good idea, but maybe the story had too few pages to work it all out. |

That would be a TV movie from 1994 called "Witch Hunt".
Dennis Hopper was the only giveaway. Basic premise is that it's in a fantasy 1950s world where magic is commonplace and zombies are used as cheap labor. Think Red Scare, but instead of communists, witches are the ones being hunted. But that's just from Wikipedia. I think I'll pass on watching it.
