Aren't people forgetting that he's about to be a pancake on the road?
Though if the 'body' somehow survives, I think the best case scenario for Ji hoon disappearing in the black void was a metaphor for his body completely changing into a girls. Yuna might not even possess him. That good deed of protecting Miya may have purified her (and therefore change her mind.) AGH, BUT WHY DOES THE AUTHOR HAVE TO GIVE SUCH CRYPTIC ENDINGS TO CHAPTERS? NOW I HAVE TO WAIT...AGAIN!

It seems that they might be trying to ease the horror of the Yuna possession by having him "die nobly" rather than be whittled away into nothing. Mayhap his sacrifice will bollocks up Yuna's plan. But our protagonist is almost certainly gone.

It turns out that he had one last bit of his maleness left and Yuna didn't have a way of getting rid of it unless he died somehow, at which point she could brutally devour Miya's soul and take the other guy as her lover, this occured just as she was about to give up and let him have his body back.
