Upcoming Descent - Shrink Fan Comics

I liked the story, it has slow shrinking and lots of shrinking-of-the-clothes stuff.
Also like the reaction of Renee and what consequences her new size would mean to her.

A little explaination what happened to the kitchen wouldn't have hurt, but I guess that one of Tyler's experiments went wrong and he blew it up.

Though I like Renee charater design, both written and drawn, someone should have programmed Tyler some more emotions.
I know that in contrary to Renee he is supposed to be reserved, but if a woman is shrinking in front of you, you could even show a bit more scientistic enthusiasm.
Like: "Shrink in the name of science" or "You are part of the greatest scientific experiement of mankind that could change the foundation of the world forever - are you excited?" or "Just one more test... "

Since this issue is not the end of the story, I hope that we will see soon the second part of it.

This is understandable point of view. Everyone has there preferences. You both could try making your own story for Shrink Fan. Trying to do that myself but ran into some problems.

I do agree that Shrink Fan does have some problems. The one comic a month is a big one. And people are split in terms of what they like. The site it's self appears not to have it's content and gallery updated at regular intervals.

My problem with submitting stories for them is that I don't think that mine would be properly displayed in a comic format. It would be GREAT, sure. But the stories I tend to tell span much longer than their comics. It would take at least one, maybe even two issues before any shrinking occurred and that's not what a comic should have.

I've instead started one of my stories in the format of their single image Member's giveaway rewards. This allows for a lot more story-work with a single image taken more as a snapshot of the moment of the theme.

If they could offer guidelines on what they want a submitted story to look like, maybe I could offer something to be used.

When Shrink Fan was originally started, it was promoted about being Shrinking/Shrunken Woman focused. TG and Shrunken Man aren't that. Giantess Fan already has plenty of Shrunken Man content.

Shrunken Man and TG being incorporated? No interest from me. I certainly didn't join Shrink Fan for either theme.

"Magical Mischief" is a bonus comic. It's actually scheduled on their TransformFan site because the two characters appear to be transforming into pixies. They're also releasing it on ShrinkFan because there may be some crossover appeal--there is a shrunken woman in it. Since it's not one of their scheduled monthly releases, I look at its inclusion as a bonus. Great if I like that other stuff too, maybe some nice SW in it, but skippable if I don't like it.

Is Shrink Fan not getting any updates to the gallery or comics?

The gallery updates seem pretty dead on all their content.

But do we have to worry that there are only comic announcements for november on Shrink-Fan?

I know, shrinking hasnt the biggest fanbase but it would be a shame if it wasn't even enough for a monthly comic.

Yeah I'm also kinda miffed about the sluggish gallery updates. I'm also a little nervous that that this month is only previewing one original and one bonus comic. There are other comics from other sister sites that might have SW appeal which could tie of fans if they need more time, but right now I'm finding it all a little sus.

I thought the gallery was only pics from people making submissions to that raffle thing... I never know what to put in as a submission, so I never do... I just figured no one else was putting in submissions either.

Well my last submission was approved back in May. It has yet to be posted.

Cant speak for others, but I have two approved and open illustrations. One from February and one from July. I don't know how many people are submitting ideas, but I don't think that not a single one of the subscribers is participating and that this is the reason why there are no updates.

I will address all of these at once, starting with the big one:

We will always, ALWAYS be posting at least one comic per month until and unless we tell you otherwise. It would be unfair to suddenly reduce our release schedule without informing our subscribers.

The only reason there isn't a Dec 1 preview yet is because we were trying to decide which of the ready comics are going to be that release. It should appear soon.

The gallery does indeed consist entirely of user submissions - and no, we're not running low on entries. The job of reviewing and approving winners, assigning them to artists, reviewing and approving that artwork, putting it all together, and uploading it to the galleries of *all seven of our sites* is all the work of one guy, and so if he hits a bottleneck at any stage of that process, it can cause a noticeable delay in the gallery section.

We do have pieces in the works, and we will be updating the gallery. I just don't have an exact timetable.

Very informative! I can totally understand work bottlenecks, and I wasn't too worried about the preview image not being up yet. It's taken a bit of time in the past for those to get posted. I really appreciate the work that goes into the ShrinkFan site. I feel like we're a kinda small fetish (like I was gonna pass up the pun), so I imagine the margins on our content aren't the most rewarding.
