Yeah, thanks. I saw that, and couldn't resist writing something about it. Yes, late reply.

Re: Metroid Addventure, anything goes

I know I'm the only one who even bothers posting, but the hell with it.
I've introduced a mechanic that I'd like to see what people can do with here.
http://www.bearchive.com/~addventure...94/794035.html
The idea is that a computer is creating an event in an artificial past, and that affects Samus in the present. This can range from "cutting her hair a week earlier, and so her hair is altered to be shorter", to "something happens in her childhood, and that effects her history up to the present".
I'm probably not doing a very good job at explaining it, but I'd like to see what people do with it. This is my last post before I let this thing die, I was pretty much posting all of it anyway.

Don't know if this is the proper place to post this, but the Metroid Addventure has had some life breathed back into it. A few of us have written new episodes, and would be glad to see some more people contributing.

Re: Metroid Addventure, anything goes

I know I'm resurrecting a really dead thread here, but I noticed that my own contribution to this addventure just had a couple people add to it recently. Particularly nice in that I thought my stuff on the addventure had actually been deleted somehow.

Anyway, my additions begin here:

http://www.bearchive.com/~addventure...70/570478.html

The beginning of this story starts here, for anyone who wants to see this thing from the beginning:

http://www.bearchive.com/~addventure...64/564135.html

To get to my entries, use the following options:
Samus puts the component in her suit, but it works in a very unexpected manner. >
Something Else >
Samus finds more Chozo Statues with 'upgrades'... >
Samus comes across another Chozo statue with another "upgrade." >
Samus finds more Chozo Statues with 'upgrades'... >
Something Else >
A combination of 1&2. >
Samus finds more Chozo Statues with 'upgrades'... >
Her visor acts up more, working to alter her perception of herself >
Samus comes across some enemies. >
Samus couldn't kill the dog. Maybe if she gave it what it wanted... she could get away without killing it... >
Something Else >
Samus begins searching for Ridley in earnest. >
While hunting Ridley, Samus encounters dangerous enemies and creatures... like... >
As she continues through the place, she finds another data entry terminal >
Samus is unable to escape from the VR simulation and allows it play out. >
Samus nabs another 'upgrade' or data entry terminal >
Something Else

I'll try and add to this as well at some point, but I hope some of you guys might consider taking a crack at it as well.

I might have a shot at it, and I'm pretty interested in seeing what you decide to write.

Did an entry on the Domestic Housewife path in Bimboville since the topic on this forum really made me want more.

Re: Metroid Addventure, anything goes

Well, I've been adding a fair amount to my portion lately, and a few new people have contributed as well. If you've looked at my corner of this story before and didn't see anything you wanted to add to, you may want to take another look.

Re: Metroid Addventure, anything goes

I hate double posting, but I came across something on the BE Addventure that's pretty helpful:

http://www.bearchive.com/~addventure...gs/fanfic.html

If you're like me and like writing about certain existing characters, that link points to the roots of all (or at least most) of the threads that take place in a certain anime/show/whatever. It provides a nice starting point for finding something worthwhile to add to.

Also, for my fellow One Piece fans, I found a "Waking Up With Curves" thread for One Piece that had been started, but never added to until now. I've been working on kicking off a few storylines already, in case anyone was interested in continuing some of them:

Re: Metroid Addventure, anything goes

Though this Interactive story is promising, there is another that has transformations about Samus. It's called 'Metroid: Hall of Upgrades' and it's on the Writing.com website. It's about Samus Aran picking an upgrade from a wide assortment and changing into that upgrade. So far, it's really promising from her turning into animals, inanimate objects, regressing in age, and turning into different versions (teacher, nun, angel, etc.) If you want to see it for yourself and begin writing, here's the link:
