You don't see many round mermaids, let alone inflated ones.
Then again, inflated mermaids would be like pool toys and float to the surface, and would have trouble moving about like dolphins-with-human-upper-bodies.

Sorry to necro this thread, but this is in my interests and I can think of one really big example overlooked here.... Czolg's Anything Goes Bakery series, five short stories (and one-and-a-half fan-made ones) about a celebrity chef who turns women into food. The description tends to be good, especially in the earlier ones, and it has a weird air of non-chalance to it; most of the women don't seem to terribly object to becoming food.

It used to be on the Magic Stories Unlimited site before it went down. Right now it's floating around a few places, but Venus Redscar's BBfetish Yahoo group definitely has all of them.
