Re: my full blow tg comic (Playing both sides) by Jimbo
Well, that is right, there is no real wrong way. Just a suggestion for study. In order to break the rules, generally you have to first understand the rules. Many cartoonists are quite capable of drawing realistically. They then use the knowledge of how to do things the right way in order to bend them so it looks right, so they know what shortcuts they can use.
Just advice, take it for what it's worth

Re: my full blow tg comic (Playing both sides) by Jimbo
yes thanks for the tips, this really is something I'm going to spend a long time on. I have been inspired by a lot of well know artist's its hard since. I only have the few hours and the weekends to work on it. I'd do more bits and pieces maybe on my break at work but I'd be frowned at by non TG TF fans, its odd for me have love of anime and manga in front of my friend at work who claims to be a big fan of USA comics. but he sees and anime and nitch comics as strange and perverse. he drop the "Tentacle porn" bomb. so much for open-mindedness.... anyways you guys enjoy it and I hope you want to get to know me.

been practicing with markers today do they look better or should I stick to shaded pencils? or does anyone just want manga style black and white?
I promise I will apply myself and get better at body shapes. |

the bits I miss really come up on the scans, again the light really not good in this room need to get a desk lamp when I get the funds.... also I need to get more shades of markers tomorrow. (I have lots of flesh tones but no pinks..) also paper that resists bleeding cost a mint. but that's suffering for art right?

No one honestly prefers B/W to color. A hint for eyes and nose - the lines you don't draw are as important as those you do.

Thanks, I hope to be seen as real artist by others at some point. Starting my time off from work today so I should have some time to work on a lot.
