The Gynethrope is probably the first TG animation that I've actually been kind of proud of. The rest that I've created I've felt were kind of rubbish. Oh well.

I know what you're referencing, and no - even dA shouldn't be that stringent, with good reason.
Simply put, by making themselves arbiters of what violates "the rules," they're ultimately setting themselves up for failure, for two reasons.

1. Google has a huge legal team, so they know better than to "flag" "subpar" material. They would be setting themselves up for liability for all the site's content, which would require a staggering number of moderators to enforce. They would go bankrupt just considering the logistics. Or they can take the alternate approach of onerous submission standards, which both defeat the purpose of an open Internet, and - again - would make Google liable for user content.

2. Should Google decide to arbitrarily suspend user content, you would quickly get to see just how many attorneys would take the opportunity to sue the shit out of Mountain View - pro bono, no less.

What shocks me more is when they post some of these videos where there is a ton of nudity and get away with it. The Gynethrope SMASHED the bar when it came out. I've yet to see anyone match the quality of it. This media is always best expressed through 3d rendered videos in my opinion since it has yet to be reproduced in such fidelity in live action IMO. PS: I haven't seen Paradox Alice yet.
