Tell me about it, I never got closure. Bloomin' faeries...

Re: Bloomin Faerie

So after several years of sexual antics and silliness (which also repeatedly made a fool of the male characters), he has the sudden epiphany that it's "demeaning to women," and also has the ridiculous idea that a "legit" writer isn't allowed to have any smut in their back catalogue?

Riiiiiiiiiiiight. *eye roll*

Shit, man, look at Fifty Shades. Not only is it smut, it's REALLY BAD smut, but E.L. James has gotten rich and famous off of it. Besides, if he's that concerned, why not just use a friggin' pen name?

I was upset that he took the comics away without explanation, but now that we've gotten one and it's a really stupid explanation, I don't feel any better.

I hope someone's got the strips archived somewhere. *sigh*

Guys, he literally lost his job over this comic. Maybe turn down the harshness a bit?

I did not know he lost his job over this comic. This helps me accept his decision. We all have to eat.

Yes, it's hard to blame someone who's facing outside pressure on his creative work.

Re: Bloomin Faerie

I find the lost job thing a bit strange then. Why would he risk whatever he has now by posting this final comic? It just calls attention to something that cost him his job. Just my opinion, but I wouldn't want anything to do with the comic again.
