I found this back awhile ago and always thought it was the best example.

Even if you're used to them you're right to some people this doesn't really mean anything, but in reality this is what a lot of people really care about. "34D" is impressive until you realize that the smaller the frame the bigger they seem.

I have something similar for parts of a males genital.

Incidentally, I think this point has been made a bit obliquely in this thread: Sometimes in BE stories, the narrator and/or main character will be some kind of breast size savant...

I couldn't help but notice as her breasts grew all the way from an A-cup to a DDD.

In real life, though, it's very hard to correctly tell a woman's breast size in terms of bra cup sizes, especially if she has clothes on. (And, as has been noted, even if you know what size bra a woman wears, that may still not be accurate, because sizes can differ between manufacturers and even styles, many women are wearing incorrect bra sizes, etc.)

Of course, it's okay to have characters estimate...

No arguments there. My editor was fighting me on one of the characters bra sizes in A Goddess's Gifts because it was a 33. She routinely said "you can't have an odd number." To which I responded you can. They do make those and took her to a bra specialty site where they listed "half sizes" like the 33.

So even among real life women there is problems with bra sizes.
