Re: TF-Media...Another bites the dust

It's definitely a bummer that the site went down. While the content was predominately m-to-f TG, which isn't my thing, I liked the anything goes policy there. With that said, the submissions process was a bit frustrating, since a minor tag error could get your submission rejected, prompting you to resubmit and wait another week or whatever to see if your entry gets accepted. The common sense thing would have been for the admin to just correct the tag and accept the submission. I'm certain it would have been a more efficient use of his time to do that then have to read through the submission again over a simple misapplication of a tag.

I figured the site was on the way out when one of my submissions sat in the approval queue for over four months.

Re: TF-Media...Another bites the dust

This whole saga has been extremely galling. I really loved the site and community that existed in its first iteration. But it got detonated as soon as it got popular because the owner was too busy to manage all the incoming content and too stubborn to accept help. There were a lot of people lining up to give the owner a hand, and they were all turned down because of some combination of lack of trust and desire for control. A great community just thrown away for no good reason. Frustrating, all the way around, especially those who lost content.

If I had the requisite time, money and technical knowhow, I'd just do something myself. As it stands, I have none of those things. Maybe in a year or so. Who knows?
