The setup program is programed to extract the LZH with the Japanese Unicode text not the gibberish file name that Windows gives it. You need to enable the Japanese language options in windows. There are many simple tutorials you find by googling.

Here's another option for Dark Princess...
I unpacked the LZH and modified the game files to display the system and menu info in English. Finally got to use SimRPG Maker for something ;-) http://rapidshare.com/files/94270039...en101.rar.html |

I just wanted to say, whoever first posted the image sets for Yami no Koe, THANK YOU! I now have somewhat of an addiction to that series, and it turns out that the next installment is released in Japan the day after my birthday. >_>

Question about the game itself, though. Is it supposed to end after that bit of dialogue after the first battle? It keeps punting me back to the main title screen after a bit of chatter with the elven archer and her priesty-looking companion. |

The other issue is that the story and game paths can be influenced by what you do during a battle. So not be able to read what's happening can be an issue. |

We can all guess what losing in combat might mean besides GAME OVER.

Re: Evil conversion(for the lack for better term)
Sorry im a bit confused. I downloaded the game, but its in Japanese. My understanding was the link was for the americanized version, or are we supposed to do that on our own.(Not really sure how to ^^') Sorry if that was a stupid question.

You play as the evil (Purple) side. When you defeat the opposing side's Captains (funny how they are all female...) they are corrupted switch sides and become playable characters. All actions are handled with the mouse. Left click for action, Right Click for menus. When you've moved all your players you need to Right Click an unoccupied map square to open a sub-menu and click 'End Turn.' This version only allows you to play through the first map as a demo. The rest of the game is still in the works. |
