Re: Look what I found
Wow, thanks ! So what's going on in the first panel ?
Also, please posts pictures and not links to pivix, which is sadly unreadable for most. And the tutorial helping to register is seemingly out of date. Last edited by vended; 07-28-2010 at 12:29 AM. |

Re: Look what I found
Registering for Pixiv is actually pretty easy.
On the page it links you to, there's a series of text boxes (the top has "pixiv ID"). That's where you put your information in to register. First is login id (pixiv id). Second is nickname (ニックナーム). Third is e-mail address (メールアドレス). Fourth is password (パスワード). Fifth is the repeat entry for the password (パスワード(再入力)). Sixth is a drop-down box to tell whether you're male or female (性別). Pick the one that has "男" if you're male or "女" if you're female. Last is the birthdate. It lists it by year first, then by month (月), then by day (日). After that, you should get a validation e-mail from pixiv (mostly in Japanese). Clicking on the link inside will prove that you're a real person. At that point, you're in.

Re: Look what I found
You're missing a captcha image from that screenshot. Click the link that says 読めない and it should refresh the image; if it's still missing, then you're missing some software you need to read it.

Re: Look what I found
No, I can't. Or rather, won't. I have a personal policy where I don't post someone else's works on websites without permission. I'm sure someone else will post it sooner or later, though.
You seem to have images blocked entirely, because there should be several pictures in that screenshot which aren't. Do you have an image blocker installed on your computer? If so, disable it for www.pixiv.net.

If it helps any, just go to bugmenot and get a username and password from there, that's what I did and they do work!
Good luck! |

Tutorial
Thanks jaimehlers for the translation. Makes it much more understandable.
Ok found out that using Google translate breaks the link buttons so I threw together this tutorial...Hope it's helpful. The text within the red circle is your registration form. Here's the text from that box translated for you to refer to. Make sure to fill in everything. If you don't select your Gender or fill in all of the info by birthday it will return an error. With that completed you should see something like this. Fill in the text thats within the picture and click on the orange button. You should receive an email that looks like this. Click on the Mail authentication link I circled. After verifying your email go back to http://www.pixiv.net . This is an image of their translated website. Click on "Settings" or the original Japanese text which will be in it's place if you are on a untranslated version of the page. Scroll down in the Settings page until you see these selectable buttons. This is the translated version of the settings with the buttons selected to show all pictures and what your settings should look like. Now scroll down and click this button. You should now have full access to view all pictures on that site. Hope this was helpful. Information accurate as of 7/28/2010. Attached is this information in BBCode within a txt file. If the need for a tutorial pops up again simply open that, copy and paste it into a forum reply and you should be good to go. Edit: Also if you're incredibly lazy here I just attached the 'continuation' images here. Pretty sure the one in the mirror is the only continuation but I'm not certain. The other image isn't too bad either really. Last edited by frice2000; 07-28-2010 at 11:27 AM. |

Re: Look what I found
Yeah, the first image is an "in-process" transformation which has nothing to do with this set of pictures.
Though, technically the other image is actually a set of two. If you click on the little "paper" icon in the top left corner, it'll show both.
