No, not really, otherwise it would be posted by now. The only chance I coukd have missed invisibility would be if it did involve a ghost, it's unlikely that I paid attention if they were invisible to the characters around them.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------- [Okamoto Kazuhiro(岡本一広)] Translucent (トランスルーセント) - Vol.01~05 [2005~2006] As the title suggests, the girl is translucent, though she also turns completely invisible, it happens really suddenly in Vol.04 but the girl reverts back before the volume ends, in Vol.05 she unconsciously turns invisible, suggesting her emotions may have something to do with it. Again, I have to thank dragonicman for submitting the info about the series. http://rapidshare.com/files/85239479...6-30_.zip.html [v01] http://www.mediafire.com/?0hzynvtvtjm [v02] http://rapidshare.com/files/85297639...2-31_.zip.html [v03] http://rapidshare.com/files/85297640...6-30_.zip.html [v04] http://rapidshare.com/files/85304289...1-30_.zip.html [v05] Last edited by Shadow00000; 01-20-2008 at 04:21 PM. |

Re: Invisible Women, Anyone?
Actually, I'm a huge fan of Translucent, and have been keeping the Wiki updated:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Translucent_%28manga%29 They mentioned to me in email that they're going to finish translating it officially (through Dark Horse), they just donno when. But yeah, her invisibility is a disease, called "Translucent Syndrome." It's emotions based, sorta -- about one week in four she's at least partially invisible, and being happy makes it last less and affect her less, being sad or stressed makes it last longer and be more severe. Typically she's about 80% translucent over 100% of her body. However, there are complications: * If she spends more than 2 weeks translucent, she'll never recover * Anyone with Translucent Syndrome has a chance of gaining "Fully Transparent Syndrome" which is much more severe -- 99-100% invisibility all the time. One of the characters in the manga goes from Translucent to Transparent really quickly, and doesn't recover. * Yes, Shizuka gains "Fully Transparent Syndrome" in volume 4, which is bad -- no one who spends more than a week invisible recovers. * The impression I get from Volume 5 is that she's NOT supposed to have Translucent syndrome anymore -- that after recovering from Fully Transparent Syndrome she's supposed to be cured. Given that she starts going translucent again, and upon becoming translucent, she's never shown in the manga "normal" again, I donno... Volume 3 was released last Monday to stores, and I got my copy in yesterday from TFAW.com. It's clean but I LOOOOVE it. Last edited by KiTA; 02-08-2008 at 09:21 PM. |

Re: Invisible Women, Anyone?
Wait wait wait. Translucent was scanlated? (As in, fan translated? I know it was officially licensed...)
Ah, I see, you mean "scanned". Last edited by KiTA; 02-09-2008 at 07:17 AM. |

http://www.mangaupdates.com/series.html?id=8019 I only could get Vol.02, and I won't post it for the moment because it's the Ebook PDF file, which means it wasn't ripped because it's encrypted. The other reason would be quality loss, but there is PNG for that. It's unlikely that I'll get Vol.01, something went wrong about a week ago and I can't figure it, it usually happens every month. Re: Invisible Women, Anyone?
I had Alabaster someplace, it was in a weird encryption format, was able to read it but not able to rip it. The best I could do was take screenshots of the pages, which was only ok. The bad part is that each page took 2 screenshots (scroll up and down) and would have been an absolute impossibility to rip that way...

Re: Invisible Women, Anyone?
I have it in PDF as the Ebook comes, while I can manage to rip it in a image format, not sure if completely, with loseless quality, I would still need to sort the files. Considering I don't have the first volume, which is also in PDF format, it's not worth the trouble.
