Probably stability.

TFCentral failed in the longevity department.
-its gone

TF Webring failed in the public appearance department
-one month it was a furry tf webring,a few months later it was the
gathering place for porn queens, transvestives and other non furry tf sites

From what I gather Animal TF Webring got rolled into some other tf webring
so for a while I had horrid visions of visitors to my mild mannered
Upper Canadian Confederate Cosmonauts website finding I was
associated with Horse People Having Sex websites.

Just something, Soty! FIrst, I whant to thank you again for the wonderfull comment you gave me! I'm not sure if I undestood verry well every thing, but when I'll get the time, I'll probably won't have any problem about that. Anyway, did I dream or you wrote that I probably use pen tool? If you did (Remember that english isn't my first language!) well, I don't use photoshop for line work. In fact, I do it by hand... o.O Anyway, even if you thought that it was done on PS, the comment is still valid about the thickness of my linework and I'll try to correct it in my next work anyway! Lol! Thank you again!

Wow, they're really not Photoshop lines? Then you're definately doing something right!

Keep it up, for certain!

"Baseboard," I believe, is the term you're looking for. (Mine are only, like, an inch and a half. Guess I have a cheap apartment.)

If you whant my trick, here it is!

Lol! It is simple and verry usefull! After, I only have to make a selection of all the black on photoshop and it gives me an exact replica of all my linework. I also use the fusion mode to for some pics. It depends of the technic I use! Lol!

Wth? Sorry for reviving a dead thread, but are those stencils or something? How would that make your lines neater?

THey are called french curves. The are essentially stencils for every type of curved line shape imaginable. It may not make much sense in the beginning, but if you have trouble draswing a steady curved line(its much harder than you would think..really) then these things are a godsend!

Re: Is there a problem with artist account on Transfur?

Tancred-

I straight up think that you are good enough for Transfur. That is not to say that the art's perfect, but nobody's is. Still, keep cracking. I think with a few tweaks you'll be a shoe in.

First of all, Soty already recommended the minimizing of backgrounds. I don't know about that (I do like a good background) but I think you could greatly benefit from cropping your pics more closely around the figure. You put tons of detail into the figure and then drown her in this huge environment, which is not as polished. Also, make sure the final pic is big enough to see all that detail! I usually keep mine at around 600-700 px high with like 70-80 % of that taken up by the figure.

Your shading on clothes/how you handle folds could be a bit improved. Remember, folds should reveal the contour of the body underneath, and not every crease needs a highlight. If you're shading right, you should be able to make the lineart invisible and still have the clothes make sense visually.

As for the looking like kids thing... Yeah. I can see that. Just make sure your people are around 7-8 heads high and you should be fine. You don't need to give every girl ginormous boobs to show that she's a lady (although I tend to do that anyway, haha), just make sure the height is reading right for an 18-20 year old and you're golden.

I was going to add my support in for transfur itself, but Soty already made the yerf analogy which pretty much sums it up (if you remember yerf). What I DO think transfur needs is a forum with critique boards, where members apply on the boards and get critiqued to gain an account on the main site. That way, if people get rejected, they at least know why instead of getting a form rejection, which is really, really unhelpful.

If the likes of Picklejuice and Ariana can post on Transfur, clearly they aren't the most discriminating. Now does that mean I think they should just let anyone with a box of crayons post? Certainly not, but their standard of quality is most assuredly somewhere between painted pet rocks and Rob Liefield.

That wasn't to discourage you Tancred, but to lend voice to the general agreement that you should be able to post there.
