OFFICIALLY market performance, that what they say, even thou the movie did pretty good.
I?m pretty sure they saw the threads on Giantess city and else where and how the people got their freak on there, and got scared off. Maybe there were even some retards who were sending creepy e-mails to the people who created it, demaning that Ginormica should step on some people in the next movie or some shit like that.

MVA did well in North America but underperformed internationally. Keep in mind that Dreamworks' previous release, Kung-Fu Panda, did great business domestically but made CRAZY money overseas (especially in- no surprise- China). I'm sure that the studio had some retarded notion that MVA would do the same and when it didn't, they lost faith in the property. I'm pretty certain this decision has more to do with unrealistic profit expectations than creepy GTS fans.

There's still the chance of a TV series, tho'. Nickelodeon supposedly has a pilot in the works.

Okay, I admit it. I wrote a kinky letter to Ginormica.

I strongly doubt that Dreamworks would pull the plug because of Giantess fetishists. There's larger communities on the internet that produce crazy ultra-porn versions images of Disney characters and you don't see Disney pulling the plug on that one. Sorry, but I just have a hard time imagining an entire production studio getting "scared off" because their film reaches an additional sliver of a demographic that they would not expect to normally draw (adult males). You simply don't intentionally make a character as hot as Susan and get "scared off" when a tiny internet subculture fetishizes her.

Hell, I still have naughty thoughts about that ass on Mrs. Incredible, and I'd put money down that they were playing to some kind of kinky demographic with that character design.

Buddy Lee is a giantess that appeared in Levi's jeans commercials. They took down the videos after the actress got creepy letters, and Levi's doesn't even acknowledge the videos anymore ever existing.

Theirs a sequal to the Little Meramid (although its as "good" as a straight to video disney sequal could be expected to be), so yeah, I really think it was lackluster cinema perfomance, NOT macrophilles.
Plus theirs goign to be a cartoon. So clearly their focusing on their key market segment, American kids

Stupidity and overreaction in a recession are the two reasons it got pushed off. Guarantee if it was Disney/Pixar it would get a sequel just because Disney loves to franchise the hell out of things. Dreamworks is thinking too small (no pun intended).

Because five Shrek movies (and a spin-off starring Puss in Boots), six Kung-Fu Panda movies and a TV series, a third Madagascar film, and a Monsters vs. Aliens TV series is thinking small, right? Pixar has had only ONE series before Cars with sequels. Nothing compared to Dreamworks Animation.

Honestly, Monsters vs. Aliens wasn't that good. It had a nice growth sequence, good CG, and a few funny parts, but overall I consider it one of Dreamworks Animation's weakest films after Shrek the Third and both Madagascar films.

Exactly, Dreamworks is all about quanity; Pixar is about quality. (In the beginning, Pixar and Disney didn't get along.) Speaking of sequels, after almost 15 years from its first release, Pixar is finally coming out with part 3 of "Toy Story." If this was Dreamworks, it would have been part 10.

And that is why I like Dreamworks instead of Pixar.
