Any Ganguro girl threads this weekend? On a side note, I just completed a story based on Mlad's picture of a Punkified Hermione Granger. I have no concept of my own quality (or lack thereof) So let me know if I'm doing all right or if I suck. If I suck, I'll stick to the occasional addventure episode, rather than full stories. |

BLARG. I apologise, I completely forgot.
I've attached everything that I've had done so far. The last story hasn't been edited yet though, so the wording may or may not be optimal (it's Schr?dinger's chapter!) |

No it has not, thank you very much ^__^
Here's something I've been sitting on, Peorth evil conversion and some of her with(I assume) evil Belldandy. The first 2 are by animeflux on DA, I don't think they've been posted here... but I could always be quite wrong. Edit: Where did you find that image anyway?

Re: Evil conversion(for the lack for better term)
Ok, first of all, hi! Some people in a 4chan corruption thread pointed out that there was a good story in the first Corruption Planet that wasn't done yet and asked if anyone could do it. It was the Chibiusa story. I had some time, so I set out to work.
I just finished translating, but I wanted to post it here first because there are at least a few people here who can help me make this translation a little better. If you want to, of course. I say it a lot of times, but I don't actually know Japanese, so I tend to get things wrong from time to time. I welcome all criticism. I plan on finalizing this within the next 2-3 days so if you have any suggestions, let me know. Now for the things I need help with: First of all, is this first-person or third-person? Toward the end, the non-dialogue lines have "chibiusa" in them, so that part is absolutely not first-person, but the early lines all look like first-person lines to me. This is the biggest problem I had the entire time, so if you've got an answer to that, let me know. I wrote my translation third-person the entire way through, but I'm thinking of going back through the first two pages and changing them to first-person. Second, the biggest concern I had in the translation is what to do with the last two parts of the story. There's no doubt in my mind that one of them is talking about Usagi and not Chibiusa. It even has her other name in there, which I googled to check. Then just a short time later it's talking about Chibiusa again. This is incredibly confusing to me and I hope someone can shed some light on this one for me. I did not watch or read Sailor Moon so I have no idea if this is a story element that I'm missing or a mistake from the author or what. People probably won't care if I move the "24loop" section down to page 2 for a sense of better continuity, but is it a good idea? Having it on page 1 gives you that sense of "oh i see where this is going" before you get to page 2. 妖魔 = Youma. I always leave this untranslated. The English version of the show translated it as "monster". Just sounds weak to me like that. Agree/disagree? 8Loop / 24Loop. I thought about a lot of words I could use in place of loop. Should I just leave it as loop? There's a kanji that's blanked out on page 1. I decided it wasn't important and ignored it. If anyone has any idea what that is, let me know. I forgot a lot of the other things I got hung up on along the way, so just tell me if something seems off. Even if you don't know Japanese, you can still offer feedback based on the translated text itself, like if a sentence doesn't make sense or a line seems out of place or whatever. Thanks! |
