Re: Evil conversion(for the lack for better term)
The whole point of that game was to raise a child that would ascend to the title of queen or pope or princess married to the king, so yeah while the princess of darkness it's totally awesome it's the bad ending, after all the kid came from the heavens

Hey the goal was only to raise her to be a Princess or Queen right? I don't remember the heavens actually specifying of what realm. I tried to get that ending but failed, I didn't even get the other bad end royalty; S&M Queen. Here's a pretty good PM guide, with most of the endings; http://www.kkpmc.net/index2.html PM3 Bad ends; Little devil, and a Princess of Darkness that looks kinda boring next to PM2's. PM5 possibly has two, I don't know much about this game though. And PM1's Princess of Darkness is the last pic. Last edited by Mazoku; 05-03-2011 at 03:20 AM. |

Yeah but i remember them getting royally pissed to you if she will decide to control the underworld, not to say the S&M Queen
To actually win that ending of the Princess of Darkness you had to have visited the demon's cove with enough sin and agreed to spent the night with them, it was past the dragon maze There is an actual ending where they take it from you, returning to heaven Last edited by pasonte; 05-03-2011 at 12:49 AM. |

Too bad Princess Maker remains pretty much unacknowledged by translation groups.
Used to play Princess Maker 2 way too much so I was positively surprised to hear that Princess Maker 1 is also actually translated.

Re: Evil conversion(for the lack for better term)
Well there was actually an attempt at princess maker 4 i think or 5 don't remember that went translated to japanese, to chinese then to english at least on the menus (don't ask me why on that order)
And i think that being a huge game about 2 to 4 gigs or so if i remember and hugely based on text, that was one of the reasons it went forgotten |

I tried those ones i mentioned, it was fun to see the girl getting stubborn and changing her image, though i wasn't understanding a thing and she was doing wathever she wanted, even going to the brothel on her own

Re: Evil conversion(for the lack for better term)
Perhaps a little offtopic, but here go some info about the translation patch for PM4/5
Princess Maker 5 It's a work in progress, the team has done ~27% > http://tlwiki.tsukuru.info/index.php...incess_Maker_5 Princess Maker 4 It translate skill names, the map location highlights, the controls on the options menu, etc - things that are done in game with images rather than actual text, and therefore not picked up by the hook program (AGTH/ITH/TA/TAH) > http://deekoo.net/technocracy/pm4_english/ |

Re: Evil conversion(for the lack for better term)
there was even an attempt maaaany years ago to officially translate PM2. The kicker is the translated script exists, the game disc exists, but because of corporate tomfoolery of epic proportions, it will never, EVER see the light of day beyond the desk of one of the developers.

I think Kyuven must be referring to PM3
Which got that situation and yes sometimes you can't understand companies at all |

Re: Evil conversion(for the lack for better term)
pretty sure it was PM2, as one of the reasons cited for why it never got released (due to delays on top of delays and mid-to-late 90s videogame company blustering) was because it's based on the MS-DOS platform, while PM3 is based on the Windows 95 platform (or was at least compatible).
The PM2 translation got leaked onto the web, eventually, though it'd still have been nice (and a helluva nice step for the genre) if it had been officially localized. It's sad that you can count the good non-pornographic VNs that get licensed on your hands ;_; |
