Ha! Good catch!

I'm guessing that the image's creators knew that some vaguely star-shaped symbol was associated with the Devil but weren't entirely sure what it was. So they gave her a Star of David rather than an inverted pentagram.

Japan's utter fail at knowing just what a nun is is actually hilarious.
granted i doubt many westerners would be able to tell a buddhist temple from a shinto shrine but still.
I can understand that having someone young in nun's garb be revealed to not be all that...nun-like...can be fun, or having an element corrupt an entire convent (oddly enough, these are the ones most likely to get everything but the ages right)
Stuff like La Pucelle, Chrono Crusade, Mahou Sensei Negima, and others are a lot more fun if you just tell yourself that all the young girls dressed like nuns are dressed that way because the guy in charge has a fetish (and in the first two, he actually does)
Sorry..."not doing any research at all" is kind of a pet peeve of mine

Funny despite my interest in corruption and EC...Nun stuff is pretty much a turn off. Generic mace wielding Clerics and Mikos are fine..but western nuns no go. Always found it weird...hardcore stuff: tentacles, monster TF, mind rape all good but throw in a nun and I cash out.

And end up being anti-Semitic in the process, classy. I'm sorry but Japan definitely holds an extremely close second with many of my fellow Americans for "most ignorant people in existence"

ignorance is a good word to describe it, but let's be fair here: most cultures, not just Japan and the US, have difficulty reconciling beliefs different from their own. I mean, take the Brits and Spaniards for example...between the two of them they conquered and "educated" half the world.
So whenever a culture tries to express another culture they're unfamiliar with through media, they will almost always get SOMETHING wrong. I don't even wanna think about how Bollywood probably portrays Americans...but, it's just a fact of life, and why one of the big tenets of writing is "write what you know". Some people just think they know more than they really know.

I'm pretty sure the hexagram, like the pentagram, has a long history of use in occult as well as religious symbolism.

Well yes, I really think it's a matter of the US and Japan being two of the biggest exporters of pop culture. Give Zimbabwe a chance and I bet they could offend the hell out of everyone too.

Pajamavamp, at a guess I'd say those pics were shopped. If they are vampires, that crucifix certainly isn't doing its job. I really don't know the H-game scene though.

Some unidentified ladies from 2chan EC threads, anyone able to help ID them? The problem with 2chan is, if you don't know who the characters are you can't be sure if they've really been ECed, or whether they're even "real" characters.

Re: Evil conversion(for the lack for better term)

The first one is Mira Jane from Fairy Tail in her Satan Soul takeover form. Not really evil conversion, just how she fights.

Most of those are just the villainesses from various H-Games. I've noticed the 2chan threads like to basically merge "corruption" and "villainess who has a civilian form" into one thread.

Ah, looking that up I see VR was patched together out of three Japanese Metal Hero series. "Red Python" was "Hellvira", Spielban's converted sister, from Jikuu Senshi Spielban. Though it sounds like Hellvira was a completely separate persona from her normal self.

I kept thinking the style looked familiar. Cute, but no EC.

Thanks guys. And yeah, sometimes I've noticed that with characters I have recognized, kyuven; they're either just evil anyway, or they're not really evil, or there's something else that means there's no real conversion.
