Re: Evil conversion(for the lack for better term)
Ugh. It always bugs me when they take a silly fan-made in-joke and shoehorn it into canon. Squirrel Girl, like saffron or ninjas, is best used sparingly.

So while they start out as silly joke characters, when you actually look at it their existence makes sense. Finally don't underestimate what thousands of squirrels with a single goal can accomplish! |

Oh, and for the record, I blame you all for getting me back in to the expensive habit that is Magic: the Gathering. You showed me the Innistrad set. |

Hell personally I don't even mind if they get darker and edgier powers as long as they shut up about their personal issues and get to saving people. (Just to keep it on topic I did like the whole Mary Marvel going evil thing, but it could've been handled better) It's part of why I liked Cassandra Cain as batgirl: she quite literally shut up (she couldn't speak well) and saved the day. She had relationships and hang-ups, but most of her stories just dealt with her trying to find her place and learn to interact with people. It's a small consolation to me that the big reset button they pressed in DC comics means they could potentially bring the old Cass back, and not the brooding anti-hero who comes off as a stand-offish jerk rather than an outsider looking in. That was, btw, worst EC ever...I almost stopped reading comics when I heard what they had done to the character I cared about... they couldn't whip out the retcon bat fast enough for that slip-up... |

I always enjoy a good heroine-to-generic-female-enemy transformation.
