Re: The Gynethrope
I remember reading that story somewhere before, but I think you've got the wrong thread.

Re: The Gynethrope
Sphore: I asked in this thread for ideas about a new TG animation (something that can fit between 2-4 minutes of action) so Yamigalence is on-topic. I am gathering the ideas and possibly pick one to create later.

Re: The Gynethrope
Just a thought, but something I haven't seen done before would be a man being slowly lowered into a vat or pool of liquid which he clearly knows the purpose of. I would think that would be a fairly simple scene to animate (minimal props and relatively minimal X & Y axis movement by the model).
Another idea, and you might not have the props to do this, is I've never really seen a TG take on the whole "most dangerous game" scenario. The amount of movement needed in the scene would be fairly high but you could have a hunter chasing after a fleeing man firing whatever projectile you have props for with pieces of the man's body changing as they get hit. |

wow, I don't know how I missed this one... a very nice piece of work you got there, reminiscent of a time with a certain web sight called the siren's song. I must say, I am continually impressed with your work.

Re: The Gynethrope (Offsite)
I think it would be amazing if someone came up with a transformation audio track to go along with this in place of the music... a la Mako's efforts!

Re: The Gynethrope (Offsite)
There's a time and a place for moaning and crunching sounds, and "The Gynethrope" is fantastic without them - "Bad Moon Rising" is all the accompaniment it needs.

Re: The Gynethrope (Offsite)
Thanks. I do wish I had a library of moaning and crunching sounds, however, to accompany any transformation video I create. As has been said, sound is half of audio/video. I am not a foley artist, however, and I don't know where to go to get a library of sound effects. So, just so that it doesn't play in silence, I try to choose appropriate music to go with the video.
I chose Bad Moon Rising because it was showcased in American Werewolf in London and I chose the Rasputina cover of the song because, well, y'know. And I chose Wolf Moon by Type O Negative for the credits as an homage, kinda, to the end credits song/sequence in Howling II (no, I'm not going to link to that). Re: The Gynethrope (Offsite)
Necro-ing this thread to make an announcement:
I now have commissions from two different people for two TG animations. I am working on one and will be working on the other directly thereafter. They will hopefully be similar in quality to, if not better than, the Gynethrope. More information is at my DeviantArt page. Stay tuned, folks! |
