You don't need a villain. Otherwise there'd never be disaster or post apocalyptic films.

As for male characters, you can always work in someone that wants to bang the main character. Although I do like the very rare event where the female's love interest genuinely tries to help. Think I've only ever seen that from you, though.

Did you ever pencil out details on the other virus variants? What cliche they were going for, the pros/cons/etc? Obviously the world isn't left a complete drooling mess, as the school nurse was infected and remained, well, smart, albeit horny as hell.

That's an interesting thought. Has anyone done that take on bimboization before? I mean, what if the bimbo part was all in their heads? What if the virus just made them more sensitive, lowered inhibitions, and that's it? If everyone's running around acting like bimbos and studs just because they think they have to / because the virus gives them an excuse to do so?

Hm...

I'd think everyone that wasn't on a specifically bimboizing variant would actually just be as smart as before. Just incredibly disinhibited and so distracted by sex that they can't think. So their EFFECTIVE intelligence is drastically reduced, despite the same amount of processing power.

I think a lot of "bimbo" writers are actually writing in this vein. Downing Street, for example. Also Jafar (sometimes), JR Parz, others... Actual intelligence reduction is a common but not inevitable component of bimboization, and it tends to be divisive. Some writers and readers find it absolutely indispensable, and in fact to be the heart of the fetish. Some find it to be uncomfortably close to snuff, and too squicky.

I try to have it both ways, because it is a Thing, but it's also just a smidge from leaving the girl braindead. Also, super-dumb girls have very little personality or inner monologue, and are hard to write for.

I didn't want to get too deep into each "variant" because it's actually hotter if you have just a tantalizing glimpse into a world of hundreds of different fetishes. The interesting part, I figured, would be the resulting sexual competition for available guys. Even without the differentiation of the virus girls would play up their best attributes to try and get attention. Girls do that in the actual world every day! And so you would get odd results, like dumb girls pretending to be smart because some guys had a "smart fetish" and that was an underserved market. I wanted to imply some sort of natural selection, inspired by Jafar's incredible "After the Show."

Re: mind control, bimbo transformation

I still think a dumbing down could go well, but it doesn't seem to be executed well that often. A lot of drama in a character losing such vital and personal power. It seems like most stories where the girl actually becomes stupid are just quick, two page affairs meant for a quick view and then never to be read again. Sort of paint by numbers and generic, with very little characterization.

Which is a damn shame, because I love it. The only thing that could substitute it for me is forcing the girl to act stupid without being that way herself. But I have trouble finding good renditions of that too.

Come to think of it, there's a dearth of good written porn in general. I think I just have really high standards.

EDIT: I just realized there's one great example of the loss of intelligence creating drama and a good story: Flowers for Algernon. Throw in some ridiculous gender stereotypes, blond hair, and big tits, and you have an awesome bimbo story.

Re: mind control, bimbo transformation

As the perpetual peanut gallery, I feel obliged to weigh in.

I definitely have a fetish for bimbotization, increased beauty and intelligence loss. I enjoy it, especially when it's well executed.

I have lately, however, become less comfortable with it. There's an author out there who posts on the Forever Changing board, and I recently read some of his work. It was so...extreme in its execution that it made me rethink my position on it. I'm not saying it's wrong, per say, but in the way he handled it, the themes were dangerously close to murder, rape and torture. The story I was reading specifically was so detailed in its degradation of the characters that I had to quit reading, which in all my years of viewing that type of material, I've never had to do.

I guess the key thing for me, when writing a bimbotization story, is to leave out the humiliation and to try to keep it on the lighter side. Humiliation writing is something I've never enjoyed, and bimbo material always risks leaning into that sort of thing. I think that once it veers off down that path you start getting into those snuff themes that are unsettling to people.

Me, I just ignore most of the mental alteration stuff besides upping the sexual levels. Usually if the author has taste with the physical TFs, I'm satisfied.

I wonder if I would've done more TG if the bimbo fetishists hadn't found a home on the EMCSA. You could just as easily lump them in with Transformation -- or even with Breast Expansion. Funny how things work out.

V, I've been making an effort to keep things short. I try to remind myself: I'm writing stroke. The best stroke is something you can read over and over again, without getting lost in a massive plot or uninteresting characters.

Thanks for running the superb TFReturns archive, incidentally.
Ah, comments like this make my effort feel worthwhile when I have 9000 mostly lurkers

Oh and BBHCW is one of my favorite stories of all time...I'd love a Limerick take on it

I'm just the opposite. I like humiliation. But to each their own.

I'm sorry to come back to this point after everyone's already moved on but I just wanted to chime in with my own version of "The Hornies is amazing!"

Because seriously, it is, it's one of the best process stories I've ever read and towers over most other works because it's so long, because you've gone through the trouble to create intriguing characters and a well thought-out world.
Sure sometimes you'll just be in the mood for a cheap 5 minute TF that's just pure smut but this... The Hornies beautifully combines smut and good story telling in a way that not many do.
Alright that's it, just wanted to chime in. Awesome story, you are awesome.

Re: mind control, bimbo transformation

I don't like cheap 5 minute TF smut. If the characters aren't at least a little sympathetic I can't get off. Naturally that makes finding porn that actually does anything for me extremely difficult. Not even mentioning the quality of writing for most of this stuff. I know beggars can't be choosers, but awful is the rule.

I'll stop bitching now. Great story Limerick. Probably my favorite smut writer.
