Unconfirmed, but very possible that these two are the same person, coming to a Wii U near you in 3 months.

EDIT: To be more clear, the fact the the girl on the right is a good person whose jealousy is being exploited by a dark force possessing her is confirmed. What isn't confirmed is whether or not the girl on the left is who she really is, but various themes between them seem to connect enough that we're theorizing it's her. The hair bangs, the orange feather decorations, one shoulder bare while the other has a mantle, very similar arm and leg bangles... the only issue is that if the first image is aligned properly, then the two are literally mirror images of each other. What is on the first girl's left arm and right leg are appearing on the second girl's right arm and left leg, and even their bangs mirror in the same respect (longer on one side).

Corruption back story sounds aight - with the one exception of the prime motivation being jeally over Link+Zelda...sounds a bit middle school. Apparent short while/lavender hair, female antagonist, and sexy costume out pros the con for the moment.

A great corruption cut-scene might make me reconsider the series.

I think people would rather forget that Star Oceans 3 and 4 exist.
I actually played 3, and I think I can somewhat understand the basic premise of what you wrote from the ending of it.
