Yes, Mary Marvel after turning into Black Mary:

"After journeying with the Challengers to Earth-51 and witnessing the Great Disaster occurring there, Mary finally returns home to find Darkseid waiting for her. Reminding her of how strong she felt using Black Adam's powers, and claiming the gods do not trust her as much now, he returns them to her, restoring her black costume. She then confronts Donna Troy, Kyle Rayner, Forager, and Jimmy Olsen, seizing Jimmy to take him back to Darkseid. When Donna questions Mary's use of the powers, Mary insists that she is not evil, merely 'driven'. After Darkseid's defeat, Mary returns to Black Adam, asking to be a part of a new Black Marvel Family. Adam refuses her and, after a big tantrum, she decides to become a solo superheroine.

Mary returns in Final Crisis, still apparently in Darkseid's thrall, wearing a new black costume with more of a punk look. She attacks Wonder Woman, scratching the Amazon's upper arm and infecting her with an unknown virus delivered from a broken glass vial bearing a gold Omega symbol. Later, when the heroes of Earth attack Blüdhaven, Black Adam notes that she's been possessed by one of the New Gods, a "leering old man". The possessed Mary claims to have a new dirty magic word, a blasphemous name of power, and to have new gods. During a heated battle with Supergirl, Black Adam learns that the evil god Desaad was the one who possessed Mary."

The Fiora stuff in Xenoblade Chronicles looks kind of neat.

I'm kind of disappointed she got her humanity restored in the epilogue. I love the idea of her regaining her mind and then living a normal life while still in the body of a killer robot machine.

Yeah, that bummed me out too. Especially seeing as finding a way for her to extend her life as a mechon would have seemed significantly less of an asspull than finding a never-before mentioned machine (that's only dealt with in the supplemental material) that could somehow restore a mechonised human.

It does seem more logical that mental transformations being easily reversed or the original personality being restored would be a far more simple task than turning in-organic material into organic material. Though changing the physical makeup of the target is logically the harder and less reversible part of the transformation

Okay, now let me see if I understand all of this correctly. Metal Face turns Fiora into roadkill. Vanea and Meyneth salvage Fiora’s remains for parts and build a new robot out of her. This brainwashes Fiora so she’s an undead puppet controlled by Meyneth, but Meyneth gradually loses control because Fiora still has googly eyes for Shulk and the power of love miraculously allows her soul to live on. But then there’s this double-layered brainwashing thing going on where Meyneth herself is programmed to be subservient to Egil, so Fiora’s love also breaks through Meyneth’s brainwashing. Meyneth becomes friends with Fiora once she (Meyneth) gains her own free will, and she and Vanea help Fiora claim her rebuilt body for herself. Is that how it goes?

So, like, Character A is scrambling Character B’s brain, but Character A is also having her brain scrambled by Character C, while she’s inside Character B’s already scrambled brain? This is like… corruptionception.
