I don't know if anyone's aware of this, but there was an entire arc in Supergirl #36-40 that dealt with her being infected by a virus or toxin that turns people into the worst version of themselves. Nothing groundbreaking, but there's some solid character work between her and Krypto the Superdog as the story unfolds.

It's out today. No major female vampirisation, but it seems promising for what's to come. They aren't afraid to turn major characters evil (no spoilers!)

It definitely seems that way! I'd give almost anything to see an extended version of that scene where the Doctor takes on ALL the physical characteristics of an Angel, right down to losing her individual face features and hairstyle.
