RIP Vierge
I am posting this several places online as the news should be known.
I just learned one of my oldest and closest friends online Aisaku, aka Vierge on Fruitshop, Isobel on TG roleplay, and Issac Arroyo to her friends killed herself. She was a close friend of mine online for years, a great TG artist (who did many comissions for me and i had many more unfinished), and someone I talked to alot on facebook and AIM chat. She was one of the few online who understood me. The information was found here on her deviantart http://aisaku.deviantart.com/?offset=20#comments She was dealing with depression on being transsexual but scared to embrace her identity, and last I heard started seeing a therapist and found her old website archived online and wanted to bring it back. I am feeling scared and depressed, I lost a close friend. I wish my last talk with her wasn't an argument when i went to her depressed on my own identity issues and she told me to be myself, get my own place, and move on with my life. I am sad and scared, I lost a close friend and one of the few who truely understood me. |

Re: RIP Vierge
This is not what I expected to see, coming here. It's a rare opportunity to confirm a death of the member of an online community like this. All the same, I'm very sorry for the loss of your friend. |

Re: RIP Vierge
One of my favorite sites. I had no idea. I pray in the end she has found peace.

Re: RIP Vierge
I find it sad that she died. I especially enjoyed her Discordia webcomic.

Re: RIP Vierge
While it's unfortunate either way, word on 910cmx was that it was a seizure rather than suicide. http://community.910cmx.com/index.php?/topic/13313-rip/

Re: RIP Vierge
It's a terrible loss in so many ways. When an artist dies the whole world loses something. I guess that can be said of everyone, really. But no one had a style quite like Vierge's.

Re: RIP Vierge
well that's some depressing news... chatted and commissioned her occassionally but didn't really expect this to happen.
admittedly I'm hoping that it's more the seizure angle rather then suicide but i doubt we'll ever know. RIP Ai, as i know you preferred that name so I'll remember you that way. Condolences to any friends and family.

Re: RIP Vierge
I first spoke with Ai when she went by Vierge on the Magical Sailor Fuku forums. MSF had a very active art board that I was proud to be a part of, and there were dozens of talented artists who would share their work and take requests. Even among all of these great artists, the very best was Ai.
We got to know each other better through AIM once I started to moderate the art forums, and Ai was one of the few people I stayed in contact with after leaving MSF. Her artistic advice and encouragement was a major factor in my decision to keep pursuing my dream of being a professional artist. We fell out of touch over the years, but she made my life better by being a small part of it, and I'm sure many others feel the same way. |
