That movie is never happening, if it were going to come out it had to happen 10 years ago. With Landis's problems and in the current political climate a movie directed by a man who's facing accusations of sexual misconduct can-fucking-not get a movie green lit that has as it's centerpiece a scene in which a woman is going to get sweaty and tear all her clothes off and writhe around on the floor naked for several minutes as she becomes the least popular variation of a movie monster... the dreaded female werewolf. It was never going to happen before, and it sure as hell isn't going to happen now. The whole reason why we even had for a little while custom made TF porn from fetish sites is that female werewolf transformations don't happen in real movies, and that was before everything went to shit.

The only way we'll ever see a remake of AAWIL with a female lead is if we invent a machine that will let us rent a copy of it from a parallel universe, one that doesn't suck.
