Kristen Wiig starring in "Downsizing"
This could be interesting. Kristen Wiig has just signed to star in Downsizing, a new film from Alexander Payne. According to the AV Club:
Wiig will be playing the female lead, a woman whose husband (Matt Damon) has been downsized due to some financial issues. Like, literally. He shrinks and moves to a community of tiny people to escape his money problems. Meanwhile, Wiig’s character will have second thoughts about undergoing the Downsizing, causing the kind of marital strife that can only happen when one spouse is a tiny person and the other is a normal-sized person. I did a search and couldn't find this movie on the forum. This is definitely one for fans of shrinking man stories, and depending on how it goes it may have something to offer fans of shrinking woman stories too! Hmm sounds like a reworking of that rourmered script that had Giomati attached.i believe it was a similar plot, may have even been the same name.

Not into Male size changing what so ever, but sounds interesting. But I'm betting there will be no process, which is a major bummer to any size changing fantasy.
Though the plot sounds solid all and all. |

The article makes it sound like the main conflict in the film is that Damon has been shrunk and Wiig is reluctant to get miniaturized too. At the very least we can probably expect a few scenes where she's a giant and he's tiny.
