Artemis and the Gynethrope?

Do any of those videos sound familiar? I'm quite pissed off actually, although I have no claim to Artemis, i'm hosting the video with Danielsan's blessing, after his website went down. What right does this fucking Russian have to steal videos from mine and Dan's dailymotion pages and post them onto youtube?

Well, i've flagged them as inapropriate, if you want the videos, visit dailymotion and don't nick other peoples stuff.

You might want to establish a YT presence to prevent this kinda thing.
Plus, it enhances your (or Dan's) claim to the copyrighted material if you make it well known that it is - in fact - yours.

Also, he could just be another entitled YouTube ass that takes it upon himself to repost things he finds interesting; maybe point out that, while you appreciate his fandom, doing what he does undercuts the ad sponsors that help pay your bills?

This seems to be a common Russian thing; perhaps there's some sort of "right of ownership" to reposted material in their interpretation of Berne?

It's entirely possible that he's unaware of the problem with his actions, as where he comes from, there's the strong possibility that what he's doing isn't even illegal.

Taking the time to inform rather than "get even" might help another user to stop being an insensitive prick.

Of course, should he continue anyways, by all means flag the shit outta him.

I'd have to agree with Vincent. Its good follow Youtube's rules, but it seems a lot of people want to go nuclear all the time right away.

Yeah... I think once every 6 months someone emails me to let me know my stuff has been posted by someone on YouTube and I have to send copyright complaints against them to take it off. What shocks me more is when they post some of these videos where there is a ton of nudity and get away with it. I tried posting one video years ago with literally one frame of nudity and it got taken off within 24hrs. Oh those YouTube Police.

Technically yes, but the Safe Harbor provisions of the DMCA require that they be "made aware" of infringing content.
Hence, the takedown form Scorch filled out.

I meant more in terms of the community guidelines violations, actually. If those videos were available, not flagged as for adults even, then they should have been grabbed immediately.
