Unless Rick Baker can be lured out of retirement to do the effects, I see nothing good coming from this.
And much as we'd love to see it, a female werewolf is a long shot, at best. |

Re: Max Landis Writing/Directing AWIL remake
I had my own idea for an AWIL "remake" where David transforms into a copy of his British girlfriend Alex Price instead of a wolf, but I haven't yet found any ideal artists for the commission.

a) they will be faithfull to the original, because of the fans being upset for a such big change. b) producers won't give a penny to put female women naked and showing breasts in an AA (or higher) movie. c) the global market/mainstream is not prepared to accept female werewolves this way d) they would make the TF scene to "surpass" the older one. A wider audience means no boobs on screen. e) Boobs on screen also mean censorship and adult rate (possibly R), and that means a smaller target. f) Latest female version of a classic was a failure (ghostbusters). I would say we have a 90% chances to get male cast and 10% to get... a cancellation :P. Anyway, if the movie happens, there is a small chance that we could get a sequel with a female werewolf in it... I imagine, a direct to video in 2020. But right now don't count on it. |

![]() It'll definitely be a male tf, with a 50/50 shot at being decent or at least passable. All of you hoping for something more would do well to listen to TF-Viewer. I think a lot of you forget that the way we view TF's, of any kind, is very, very niche; don't expect Hollywood to cater to a small community of individuals that have an erotic fixation with the metamorphosis of the female form. There's no money there, and thus no reason for any major studio to listen to said community's wants. Harsh, but true. :/

Max Landis walks into the boardroom, writes AMERICAN WEREWOLVE IN LONDON
Then he writes an S. Then he puts two lines through the $. He walks out.

Re: Max Landis Writing/Directing AWIL remake
I'm with the "leave Max alone" crowd.
Look guys, this is his project, not ours. When groups demand that creators cater to their tastes, this is usually (and rightfully) seen as annoying. And considering that a lot of us want to see a female werewolf because of a fetish, I don't think I could blame Max for being weirded out by it. If Max Landis just so happens to have a female werewolf in his remake, that would be awesome. If he doesn't, we'll just look elsewhere like we always do.

Re: Max Landis Writing/Directing AWIL remake
That's just delusional. Erotic transformations are not mainstream, it's an extremely small minority who have a fetish for it. I'm not sure how you managed to convince yourself otherwise.

Max Landis is the rich, pampered child of a successful director. He doesn't need you helping him. If he didn't want to be "annoyed," he'd never create a twitter account. Last edited by Dr. Otto; 11-10-2016 at 03:55 PM. |
