Re: Monstergirl Quest (monstergirl, TF, seduction, evil conversion) Dev/Suggestion Th

You could always do a real-time collision-based battle system like Ys I and II...

It'd fit with the way things currently work, for the most part, and it'd probably require minimal additional coding.

If you haven't played Ys I and II by now after they've been ported to PC (ages ago) and Nintendo DS (recently) then you probably should :|

But as far as an actual turn-based RPG system goes, I'd say avoid that like the plague. The last thing we need are frustrating battles and such taking away from the focus of the game. If I want to grind, I'll play Disgaea.

EDIT: What I mean is... In Ys I & II, to fight enemies, you basically just push up against them, and so long as you're pressing against their back/sides, you'll do damage and push them back, but if you collide with their front, they'll strike you instead. So basically it just involves manuevering yourself to attack enemies from their flanks and avoid colliding from the front. It sounds boring, talking about it, but it's really not. I really suggest you just play the games, they're not long and they're a LOT of fun. And who knows, you might get some inspiration...
