I was actually going to suggest exactly this upon reading Bozo's initial post. Great minds think alike, I suppose.

I'm in favor of this idea because it clearly delineates old content from new, but still makes the requests easy to find and browse. Speaking as someone who has fulfilled a lot of content requests in the Shrinking section, I can agree that the current request threads are getting a bit clunky and difficult to dig through.
