Well, for now the upload's stalled a bit. Busy at work and such.

Well, let's see...
*clicks on grtcatgirl's sig link*
219 videos.
Don't know the count before hand, but I'd say no.

The count before was 225 so some did disappear. My guess is that the difficulty finding these based on search terms for copyrighted info protected a lot of them.

Or nothing happened. I guess it would depend on your source for everything being cleared out.

If you want your AMVs, anime clips, and stuff, there's Stage6 as someone else said, there's VEOH, which is bluntly an anime treasure trove, and there's stuff like rapidshare where you gotta download, not stream.
I totally agree.
I've been browsing through Veoh archives and there are tons of animes and they're video quality is really awesome along with the fact that you don't have to chop up an episode into 2-3 different files.

The problem with Veoh, if I"m remembering the service right, is that you get paid for the views on the videos you upload. Extremely grey market to be uploading captured television shows. Most countries would call that illegal. Including but not limited to the NFL.

And they're also getting sued by a record label. Universal, I believe. Something about people getting paid for putting an artist's music video up, or an AMV doesn't sit well with labels, since they don't get a slice...

So, Veoh. Intesting idea. Expect them to have to close their doors soon.

Well, youtube seems to be getting more and more unusable. I can't even navigate the freakin' video-comments without it freezing my comp for a couple of mins. It's absolutely rediculous. Does everyone else have this problem when trying to view more than 200 video comments?

Something like that should be easy for a company like youtube (owned by Google) to fix. Almost seems like they're actively trying to prevent people from communicating effectively.

I hope Stage6 kicks their asses.

Yes, it's very easy to code a complicated website so that it renders and displays absolutely perfect across three very different and seperately developed rendering engines (IE, Firefox, and Safari for kicks). Nothing hard about doing that at all, especially when the most popular, IE, doesn't follow the international standards for HTML, CSS...
