Not entirely, because Katie isn't all tentacles like Mary is. Katie's still roughly human, just with enough of The Flesh infused in her for Mary to control if she wants. That also kind of rules out the merging, because in order to do that, Mary would have to convert Katie entirely into tentacles like she did the repairman- in other words, she'd have to eat her, which she's not going to do.

OTHER hapless people, perhaps, but not Katie.
